A music producer manages the production and sound recording of different bands and music artists. They work with artists to improve their songs and helps supervise them.

A producer needs to have good skills when it comes to working with people so that they can build connections and positive relationships with people. Its important for a producer to have good time management and doesn't turn up late to anything because it can waste a lot of time and money. Technical skills are needed when being a producer because they need to be able to work with new and old equipment.

John Leckie had a long career in record producing and worked with a wide range of popular bands. He has worked with The Stone Roses, New Order and The Verve who are 3 big british bands who have came out with alot of success. Many people say that The Stone Roses first album which John Leckie helped to produce is one of the greatest albums of all time which i would have to agree with.

Music performers are a variety of different musicians such as singers and instrumentalists. Most of the time they play in front of a crowd and a live audience, however, they will often perform in other places.

They need to rehearse to prepare for performances and practice playing instruments or singing to improve their technique. Promote their careers by maintaining a website or social media presence or photo shoots and interviews.

Knebworth 96' - The Oasis performance in 1996 general factors were that it was loud and a big moment in music history especially for the genre "Britpop". The main two performers were Liam and Noel Gallagher who both had incredible vocals throughout the performance. Noel Gallagher's guitar sounded thick and very compact due to it being an indoor venue.

Spike Island - The Stone Roses performance in 1990 was a big moment in British Rock history, however the sound quality was poor but the crowd and fans helped it become one of the most memorable Stone Roses performances. Ian Browns vocals were inconsistent and sounded thin but his attitude carried the performance. John Squire had technical issues when performing but it still ended up sounding good and well put together.

Bring it on down by Oasis - I like that this song is fast paced and has very catchy lyrics. The song is mostly guitar based which i pick up on quite clearly. The lyrics are not necessarily very meaningful, however, during the recent Oasis reunion when they played live at Heaton Park in Manchester they performed this song towards the end which was aimed towards the people that were on a hill behind the stage to listen to the music.

Breathe by The Prodigy - I enjoy that this song is very upbeat and very quick. There are a lot of Drums and Percussion and also a strong, noticeable bass line. The lyrics do not mean much to me, i just enjoy that they are very catchy and repetitive.

Health and safety is important in the music industry because it helps reduce the risk of injuries, illnesses and even death. One of the main causes of risk in the music industry is to do with electronic equipment not being taken care of properly. Cables running across the floor is a common cause for accidents as they can be messy and easy to trip up on. Hearing loss is a big risk in the music industry if played too loud.

Reducing risk in the music industry could be to avoid cables being all over the floor and keep them organised. Make sure to avoid water or any other liquid near the electronic equipment. Wear headphones and keep the volume not so loud constantly to avoid hearing problems in the future.

What went well was I successfully mixed a track and uploaded it. It ended up sounding good even though it is a song and genre of music I would not usually listen to.

I should Improve on adding more to it such as different effects that I could use to potentially make it sound better. I would also improve on actually creating my own track rather than mixing another one made by a popular artist.

I learnt how to use logic and the basic skills within it, this includes how to make different sounds using different instruments within logic. I also learnt what each role in the music industry includes and also different performing arts aspects to music.

I enjoyed doing a mix instead of creating my own track because I struggled to create my own beat and make sounds sound good together. But I ended up really enjoying what I did created even though its not my taste in music.
