ANSWER: In my opinion I think its important to have working knowledge of common precepts because the precepts can help u understand certain things better.For example the precept "when given the choice between right being kind choose kind". This precept tells you a lot cause sometimes being right isnt always the kindest thing. In what scenarios might one use precepts? One might use precepts anytime really cause certain precepts refer cause certain lessons.
