Ralph waldo Emerson. Emerson describes how intuition can lead to knowledge in his short story about nature, “I have enjoyed a perfect exhilaration. I am glad to the brink of fear. In the woods too, a man casts off his years, as the snake his slough, and at what period soever of life, is always a child”(Emerson, 365). He is glad when he remembers his child hood and how it is related to a snake shedding it's skin.

He also explains how spiritual well being is more important than financial well being in the same story about nature, "Within these plantations of God, a decorum and sanctity reign, a perennial festival is dressed, and...in a thousand years"(Emerson, 365). He feels connected to god, and is embracing it with celebration.

This quote is transcendental because it claims that nature is amazing to those who choose to pay attention to it. If you take the time to really look at nature you can see many of its wonders. For example if you look at a tree you will only see a tree, but if you pay attention to the tree you can see many of its natural qualities.Another way this quote can be seen as transcendental, is that if one can interpret the meaning of nature it can lead them to a larger level of thinking. When looking at the many wonders of nature it can lead you to a new thought. For example if you look at a tree you can learn something new about that tree and other trees like it. The two tenets that is resembles most are, nature, and intuition can lead to knowledge.

This balance is within me and the universe. The art shows the intuition of the being and how it has enlightened him and connected him with the universe. When I am looking at this I feel weightless saint like. I have learned that I have a strong sense of balance in my life, and that my spiritual connection with the universe is just as strong.

When R. Kelly, person in the song, sings, "I see me running through that open door", he has found the power on his own, and he is glad that he is saved himself with self reliance.
