Baptism began with John the baptist. Most christian s are baptized after birth however, it can happen when there an adult too. The ceremony is a welcome into Christianity. Every group of Christians does baptism differently. Orthodox Christians submerge the child in water while on the other hand, Roman Catholics only pour water on the baby's head. In every baptism water is used as a symbol of spiritual cleaning and purification. For Roman Catholics godparents must attend the service. they agree they are responsible for the child's religious behavior. The infant is also commonly given there name at this point. this is called a christening. The parent name them after a god hoping they look like them.

When Christians marry they devote themselves to the other. This is called Holy Matrimony when the pair agrees to act like the bond of Christ to his church. Usually this takes place in a familiar church. during a wedding a bride is escorted down the isle by her mom and dad and then give or trust her to the groom. Depending on what you want some have flower girls and ring bearers. After both say vows and give one another the rings. Then the kiss and the wedding is done. Then they are followed down the isle and they have a party.
