         <description><![CDATA[<div>A 216 cubic inch inline six cylinder or two versions of the 235 cubic inch “Blue Flame” inline six. The version of the 235 was determined by the transmission ordered. The 3-speed stickshift cars got the 235 with splash and pressure lubrication using babbitt bearings and scoops at the bottom of each connecting rod to create oil pressure. This engine also had solid valve lifters. The Powerglide automatic cars got a 235 with insert rod bearings and full pressure lubrication.<br><br></div><div>The babbitted 235’s made 106 horsepower and the insert rod 235’s made 115 horsepower.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The 1953-1954 Chevy models became a transitional model to introduce a variety of new options and changes in the 1955-1957 cars. 1953 Bel Airs could be ordered in convertible, 2-door hardtop, and two- or 4-door sedans. <br><br></div><div>Some new options for 1953 were: power steering, and an automatic headlight dimmer.<br><br>1953 also was the first year for a one-piece windshield.<br><br>Also, in 1954 the 235 with babbitt rods was replaced with the insert rod version.</div>]]></description>
