Now extinct, The Cynognathus was once a mammal-like reptile. It's name translates to "Dog jaw". This creature roamed 250 million years ago and was the size of a modern wolf. This creature proves that the continents were once together because its fossils were found in South America and South Africa. They were a land dominant species, meaning it couldn't go across water meaning South America and Africa were once together.

The Lystrosaurus, or if you translate it the " Shovel reptile" was dominant on land 250 million years ago in the early Triassic period. They were thought to be herbivorous and grew up to 1 meter in length. They were built like a pig, stocky and "large". It's fossils were found in, India, Antarctica, and the southern parts of Africa. The Lystrosaurus also survived the massive Permian Extinction which wiped out 95% of life on earth. Since it is a land animal a was found in many different continents, it provides evidence towards the continental drift.

The Glossopteris was a woody shrub or tree, named after the greek word for tongue, hence the shape of the leaves. The were as large as 30m and existed in the early Permian period. It's fossils were found in Australia, Africa, South America, India, and Antarctica. Since trees can't walk and swim, this is proof of continental drift.
