Students are able to explore different places on Easter Island. Each stop has different attachments that the students can interact with; videos, images and then 360 panoramic photos. Each location on the map has unique featrues to it. Some come with descriptions of what is at the location. Some have pictures either of the Maoi, other stone or other features such as the town, and landscape. Some of the locations also have videos that the students can view about that place on the map. Besides the interactive map there is also a game the students can play to try and move the Moai. To supplement the game students can read the past attempts of how people have moved the Maoi in the past. There is also texts that students will read to learn about both the island and the Maoi.

The students will refer to thinglink for directions on how to navigate the virtual field trip and its sequential stops. These stops include history of Easter Island and the Maoi, help for representing different units, the metric system and the tour of Easter Island. After reading the history sections the students will then explore the island stops that are within . After completing their virtual tour the student will work within their science worksheet to measure their distances using kilometers. The distances they will be measuring represent the distances that the Moai have been moved from the quarry around the Island. Before receiving their measuring tool the students will have to verbally confirm which unit makes the most sense to measure the distances with.

*Pre assessments and post assessments are a good tool to utilize when trying to determine what knowledge the students gained through a field trip visit.
* Field trips designed with activities before, during, and after motivate students to learn content
*Surveys to monitor the shaping of attitude before after the field trip.
*There are many different techniques that can be used to asses learning. For a field trip agreement circles would work out very well. The students would be asked a question and then would be able to either go to the outside of the circle or the inside of the circle. Then the students would be able to defend to a partner they choose what they thought.
