I am Wang Dongdong (my English name is Mason), an academic visitor going to the University of Birmingham, and my visiting professor is Jason. I come from Shandong University of Science and Technology, which is located on the west coast of the Pacific Ocean in Qingdao, Shandong, China.

I met Jason about 10 years ago in Beijing, China. At that time, i was a PhD student, and Jason was a handsome young man. Time flies and Jason may have a few wrinkles now. I wish Jason happiness and youth forever.

Today is a special day. Jason is about to give his inaugural lecture as a professor. Congratulations Jason. I wish Professor Jason good health, more academic achievements and greater contributions to earth science and human society.

I am looking forward to my trip to Birmingham. I believe it will be a happy and fruitful one.
