Initial Care:

1) Clean the wound with soap and water

2) Remove any visible debris from the wound

3) Apply an antibiotic cream

4) Apply sterile dressing

Post Care:

No need to see a doctor unless signs of infection, constant bleeding, deep wounds, or if your not up to date on your tetanus shot.

An unintentional cut breaking the skins surface.

Initial Care:

1) Stop the bleed, and elevate the body part. (If severe keep adding pressure and seek immediate medical attention)

2) Clean with soap and water

3) Remove any visible debris from the wound

4) Apply an antibiotic cream

5) Apply sterile dressing

Post Care:

Seek medical attention in the case of severe bleeding, deep wounds, objects stuck in the wounds, sign of infection, or muscle, tendons, or bone exposed.

Intentional cut for medical purposes

Initial Care:

Keep the site clean, and monitor for signs of infection. Listen to your doctor.

Post Care:

Follow your doctor's instruction.

A direct stab or puncture through the skin and tissue.

Post Care:

Seek medical attention when deep, cause by a dirty object, not up to date on shots, on your hands, feet face, or joints, cause by a large object stuck in skin, or caused by a human or animal.

Initial Care:

1) Stop the bleed. (seek immediate medical care if severe bleeding)

2) Clean the wound with soap and water

3) Remove any visible debris from the wound

4) Apply sterile dressing

Post Care:

Seek Medical attention if deep or large wound, uncontrolled bleeding, signs of infection, injured bone, or muscle.

• Drainage
