It is performed by either pouring water over the baby or submerges them underwater, depending on what type of Christian you are. The water symbolizes cleansing and spiritual purification. 

Godparents are required to attend the ceremony because they are supposed to help lead them through their religious life.

Sometimes a baby is given a name during the baptism. This is called a christening. It is an important part of Christianity, and of course the couple. Friends and family are invited to the ceremony as well. 
The bride is walked down the altar by their father and is left with the groom. The couple then gives vows and exchange rings. After the bride and groom kiss, a party is often held. Sometimes weddings are held in a church but are not necessary. In some weddings, there are flower girls and ring bearer. However, this changes with the type of Christian you are. 
Their proof that there is an afterlife, is Jesus' resurrection. Catholics believe that you are judged when you die, according to your actions in life. If you didn't sin, you would go to heaven. If you did not, you would go to hell. Some also believe in purgatory, which is where you go when you are in between.
Those who are gravely ill or on the edge of death, ask for forgiveness for their sins. This is called the Anointing of the Sick. If a person is unable to speak, a minister does it for them.

Christian funerals are different throughout the world. Sometimes a period of mourning comes after a funeral. This is called a wake. Although the customs change, most funerals include prayers and speeches. On the night before the funeral, Roman  Catholics "Pray the Rosary" over the body. All Christian faiths come to the families home.
