Inappropriate student-teacher relationships are on the rise nowadays. This topic is important because inappropriate student-teacher relationships are unacceptable and professionals working in the field of Education should be aware of this problem. The more educators know about the problem, the sooner preventive methods can be created and used to stop the problem. In addition to leading by examples, professionals working in the field of Education should always strive to be the solution to a problem; instead, too many are becoming to be a part of this problem.

In the state of Texas alone there were many cases of inappropriate student-teacher relationships reported in the past year. Inappropriate student-teacher relationships seem to be an emerging issue because each year the number of cases continues to grow. Not only is this inappropriate behavior hurting the students, this hurts everyone working in the field of Education as well. Sadly, if the number of cases continues to grow this could possibly ruin the reputation of every school in the entire state.
