I have attended the WW PD last summer. I have also had coaches come in to work with my groups. I teach SDC DK/K/1 and so it can be tricky. I do like how it is based on the individual abilities as it makes it easier to adapt. This year, I am teaching more first grade and have kids on level so I am unfamiliar with the first curriculum as I have been focused on K.

I was introduced to Calkins in my teacher training in 2nd grade but never used it on my own as classroom teacher but know I like what I remembered about the basics.

I have worked with Writers workshop before, it was about 4 years ago and mainly with Kindergarten. I am now in 4th and would like to know more and refresh what I do know already

I have been through the district training late in the year last school year. Also observed Candace do lessons on a staff development oh and I followed the boxes and bullets book for the 2nd trimester but Lucy FREAKS me out!!!

I hate when someone reads my diary! Sometimes writing is personal. I like to have a safe place for all of the levels of students to feel supported and safe to try.

I love six traits, I have paralleled my metacogintive stratgies with my writers workshop. I love the art of a mini lesson.
