In 2003, it was Charlie Brown Jr.'s turn to record his Acoustic MTV. Among the guests, the group called Negra Li, Marcelo Nova and Marcelo D2, who participated in versions of "Não é Sério", "Hoje" (by Marcelo Nova's group, Camisa de Vênus) and "Samba Makossa" (Nação Zumbi ), RZO (A Banca) respectively

New formation

The new group was based in the city of Santos, where the band started. Thiago Castanho, guitarist who was part of the band's first three albums, returned to the group. Two new musicians took over the drums and bass, respectively; André Luís Ruas, known as Pinguim; and Heitor Gomes, son of the bass player Chico Gomes.

Crying Death

In the early hours of March 6, 2013, Charlie Brown Jr.'s vocalist, Chorão, was found dead in his apartment, located on the west side of the city of São Paulo. Chorão's death was caused by a cocaine overdose.

A few days before he died, singer Chorão released Charlie Brown Jr.'s new single, entitled "Meu Novo Mundo", which would be released on the band's next album
