Technology was the most influential characteristic because the mesopotamian people were often challenged by nature, and had to build things that would help them survive. During times when there was flooding, drought, or heat waves, the mesopotamians had to invent new solutions to their problems that would help them whenever something came up. I also think this because whenever they were threatened, they created new things to aid their survival.
