We were working "self-steem" because some of my students (more than 16 years old) seemed not to love themselves and they always thought that they weren't worth.
It was sad because they did not realize that they are working in their jobs and studying with big effort. This fact deserves to be taken into account and they need to feel very proud of themselves.
They weren't aware of they are very hardworker and even take care of families.
After weeks working in groups and sharing their thoughts I think they finally noticed that they are really worth and they increase their self-esteem.

I have the exercise done with a group of 14 year old students. It was easy to introduce it and I think that students liked it a lot. The discussion followed the exercise was interesting. The students had the opportunity to mention special aspects of their character and talk about them as well as to receive criticism from the other members of the group. I think that the activity helped towards the cohesion of the group.

These are great materials and I'm sorry I did not have them on the day we marked the Day of Security on the Internet. We will definitely try them as soon as possible. Although I was dealing with some of these topics with the students, we had debates about cyberbulling, hate speech on the internet, social network threats, and other important topics, then made presentations about it and made it to others.

I used this exercise while we were talking with my students about cyberbullying. I said that it can help them to make better contact with each other as well as improving their personality features. Students really liked this exercise. I think, it's also really great to integrate games in studying process.Students were really responsive as they understood that this exercise could help them. In the context of my ESL classes, I used exercise 2 in the booklet with my students. They answered the survey without hesitation, but some were not too eager to share their opinions on their colleagues. Anyway, the activity showed that they do know a lot about their friends' preferences (music styles, clothes, hobbies...) and about their family life, but not a lot about how they feel about themselves. "Feelings" are not a preferential speaking topic for teenagers, at least not in class.

I was delighted when a few years ago, at the Coolest Project Awards tech conference all the participants (6-17 age group) were given a brochure Web We Want! They also all received a webcam cover from Symantec. Absolutely love the resources here.
It is important that despite the lack of physical person to person contact, we all remain respectful and also avoid being silent bystanders.
I hope I will soon have an opportunity to discuss these matters with the kids in the club.

In my opinion the exercise is very useful for pupils to work with, they can learn much about cyberbullying. In my school, I will definitely use as lesson material about internet. When i gave this exercise to my pupils they were very positive, and with good feedback after the lesson, they were very interested and happy about learning this. By giving this exercise to my pupils it was easier to check the outcome of it, and afterwards to make a decision about my school pupils if they have met this problem or not, and what they think about it.
