Be intentional that narratives of Native students are incorporated in course design. In my Psyc&200 Lifespan Psychology, my students invite their elders for a multicultural perspective on plurality of cultural expereiences. Still more, in the Social Sciences one of our course outcomes is cultural humility wherein we engage on discussions of dangers of single story and specifically in Sociology we discuss the ‘ myth of the single story in the context of Thanksgiving.’

LWTech was represented at the historical Gov to Gov Summit. (Amy, Robert, and Rhonda (me), perhaps others attended.) Learning about Tribal Sovereignty, and about Since Time Immemorial curriculum. Amy and Robert have been wonderful in connecting with both Snohomish and Muckleshoot tribal liaisons to open conversations of how we can start to build trust, communication, and shared efforts. To learn and connect with indigenous tribes. Book Club, Plancestors, and inviting indigenous voices as speakers (Elise Bill-Gerrish, Dr. Denise Bill, Sui-Lan Ho' okano, and more...) Robert, Rhonda, Sally, and Katrina will be visiting Peninsula college soon to see outside learning spaces... I'm happy and proud of how our leadership (Amy and Robert) are sincere in these efforts...
