While it may not seem that deep on the surface, I read an article that better explains why it is that deep. This article states that “race intersects with other forms of subordination including gender, class, and age to push people of color disproportionately into prostitution and keep them trapped in the commercial sex industry” (Butler, UCLA Law)

As far as the cons go, sex trafficking of young women and children not only corrupts the minds of those developing individuals, they also tear apart the souls of the families that are victims of sex trafficking. Not only is it morally wrong for another individual to own another person for that purpose and profit off of it no matter the circumstances. The other side of the argument is the business side that is more focused on the money and not the pain that the industry causes. In some cases, women and children are trafficked for cultural reasons or to even provide a better life for them.   • In July 2020, his ex-girlfriend and longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested on charges relating to Epstein's sex trafficking operation.
