I decided to enroll in the BAS-IST program for both Networking and Security degrees to gain further insight and knowledge about current and future technologies and allow for further growth into better IT positions. 

2. Where are you from?
I have been in Gainesville and Newberry area since 1990.

3. What do you hope to take away from this class?
I hope to gain knowledge, skills, and confidence in designing, building, maintaining wireless enterprise environments while integrating security standards into the environment.

4. What are your future goals?
My future goals are to complete my final semester at Santa Fe [5 courses] and graduate with a dual major in both Networking and Security. I would also like to earn the CCNA, CompTIA Project+ or CAPM, CompTIA CySA+, PenTest, & CEH within the year after I graduate. Another goal is to either find a highly paid job or grow my own client bases as a IT consultant.

5. What  job are you seeking?
I am pretty open for jobs as long as they are IT related but I would prefer Network or Security Engineer or I would grow my own client bases as a IT consultant.

6. What are your interests?

Why did you decide to enroll in  the BAS-IST program?
I have always loved technology, the internet, and all the systems that derive from it.  I remember sitting in my grade school in the library where we first had Netscape Navigator and being amazed with all that it could mean.  I decided to make this my career after many other attempts at other industries (fine arts, business management, retail, and more), failed to capture my passion like technology.

2. Where are you from?
I am from Tampa, FL for my school-age years, but traveled to Orlando in my early 20's, and was in Gainesville by 2003

3. What do you hope to take away from this class?
I am very familiar with deploying wireless networks for home use, including attaching NAS's, firewall appliances and more. What I am interested in learning is deployment in a enterprise environment, and how that differs.

4. What are your future goals?
My short term job is to complete my degree and be a network manager or system administrator for a mid-sized company.

5. What  job are you seeking?
My ultimate goal is to work security operations for a large corporation like Google, Microsoft, or Apple. I would love to work on a Red Team for them eventually

6. What are your interests?
I absolutely love technology-based gadgets.  I recently got a Raspberry Pi and have been experimenting with ARM technologies and potential practical applications for it.  I even made it a desktop for my son during the COVID home-schooling year.  Other hobbies include anime, D&D (Pathfinder!), video gaming, and semi-professional photography.

To further my education.

I'm from Kentucky and Tennessee.

3. What do you hope to take away from this class?
Regarding my internet, it would be nice to further my troubleshooting.

4. What is your future goal?
My goal is to start getting certificates so I can finally take the first step in the IT field.

5. What you of job are you seeking?
The only preference I have is something network related, I need any experience I can get.

1. Why did you decide to enroll in  the BAS-IST program?
 
I enrolled into the BAS program to increase my earning potential and because after multiple A.S. degrees I don’t think I know enough to be an asset to future employees
 
 
2. Where are you from?
 
I was born and raised in Florida, I lived in Volusia county for the majority of my life and moved to Gainesville 5 years ago.
 
 
3.. What do you hope to take away from this class?
 
I hope to gain a better understanding of wireless devices and how they communicate through the network stack.
 
 
4. What are your future goals?
My most pressing goals are to pass this semester without negatively effecting my GPA, get better at troubleshooting email issues, and to stop making mistakes on the job.
 
 
5. What job are you seeking?
 
I currently work for an MSP and love most days so I am not currently looking but if I would pick any employer in Gainesville it would have to be GRU.
 
 
6. What are your interests?
I love to watch movies with wife, play with my dogs, workout when I can find time, and  what every tech does learn learn learn.
