His party, the conservatives, were heavily defeated and was replaced by labour leader clement Attlee.

On the eve of the conference, Truman informed Stalin that the USA had successfully tested an automatic weapon.
<var>ABOUT POSTDAM AND YALTA CONFERENCES </var>

There was a whole lot of variables and different approaches and outcomes from the postdam and yalta conference. but the main objective with both of them was to decide what was going to happen for the future of Europe and Germany.
Near the end of World War II, the Allies: Britain, USA and Russia, otherwise not on the most friendly of terms, were united only in their quest against Germany and the Nazis. In 1945, two conferences were held with the top political leader of Russia, the United States, and Britain. The "Big Three", as they were known. They met in February 1945 at Yalta, Crimea, USSR, and then again in July at Potsdam, Germany.
These conferences, the Yalta and potsdam were meant to decide the future of the world after the war. Decisions made by the three most powerful men in the world at the time, from the three most powerful nations at the time. While both conferences were meant to attempt an easy transition into post-war life, the two summits still differed greatly, even though they were intended to accomplish the same things. inarguably, the reason the big three could not get along, as you would say was because of their beliefs.

The conferences took place to decide the fate of Europe, and it was mainly aimed at Germany.

The Yalta conference took place in early 1945. Germany hadn't been defeated by then, but the big three had decided their fate anyway. the big three, this time consisting of Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill. they wanted Germany to be divided into four parts, with them being given to France, the USSR, Britain and the USA. Their other aims were to have a committee to figure out the reparations that the parties had to pay. and they aimed to make those parties democracies and give them their own government. But the big three had to listed to the USSR because they needed Stalin's help in the pacific.

the Potsdam conference was compared to the treaty of Versailles. it was not entirely successful because if the relationship between the big three's because Stalin invited some Anti communists with open arms but then arrested them. And since Roosevelt died, the new president, Truman wanted to take a more aggressive approach to the Russians. The Americans had figured out the atomic bomb so they didn't need the Russians in japan anymore. after the conference it was concluded that democracies be sat up as soon as possible and all nazi ideologies should be abolished. the conference was actually harder then Truman presented it to be and they were many disagreements. about the reparations and the russian controlled areas.

The yalta conference was held by the end of world war two, disscusing the occupation and defeat of nazi Germany. The conference in 1945 was conducted between the three big powers, Great Britian represented by Winston Churchill, The soviet Russia Jospeh Stalin, and USA Franklin Roosevelt. In the conference the leaders discussed the division of Gremany into 4 different ares that would be given to USA, Great Britain, France, USSR. How to deal with defeated or liberated coubtin eastren Europe was the main issue discussed at the conference. Stalin had mentioned hat after Germany’s surrender USSR would begin a War on Japan, and sign as well as part of allience with China. Moreover the United Nations charter was also drafted during the conference , as the voting procedures for security council were being finalized. And finally Stalin had promised to hold free elections in Hungary, Chechslovakia, Poland, Romina and Bulgaria. Eventually the agreements made at the yalta conference were made to the public in 1946

Potsdam Confrenece
Following the Yalta conference another confrence was held once again between the allied powers in 1945, the powers were, Harry S. Truman from USA, Stalin form USSR and Churchill (or Clement Attlee who was elected prime minister during the confrenece) form Britian .
The confrenece dissuaded procedures to be taken for peace keeping however non were written in the form of treaties. Most of the nations were motovated by their self interest, while Churchill was suspicious of Stalin and his motives. The delecration of the reason behind the division of Germany was said to be only in the interest of providing the country an opportunity to rebuild, however the allies also collected reparations from each the zones provided to them. Berlin Vienna and Austria were all divided as well and a special council was established to look after the matters between the relations of Austria and Germany as a whole. The allies gained reparations form those nations as well.During the confrence as well the Poland borders were reestablished , as Poland also gained land form former east purssia. The USSR were also notified about the atomic bomb created by the USA which were to be used against Japan if it didn’t surrender.

Over all both the conferences were equally important and has done resulted in major changes, however the disagreement between the nations and their distrust in one another had let them down.

-Nada
