Social media has revolutionized our social lives. How has it changed the way we connect with others? Is it making our relationships stronger or more fragile?

Social media has revolutionized our social live in a good and a bad way, which in both ways affect our way of communication with each other. In this essay it will be discussed how was lifelike before social media? How did social media affect our relationship with people?

Back then few years ago before the existence of social media people used to communicate with each other by sending letters or face to face, which was hard for people to communicate, looking forward to the hard communication style that made things harder for people to get in touch with each other frequently. People needed a way to make communication easier, especially those who study abroad, people who are distanced from their families, friends and even people who are placed in hospitals.

How did social media affect our relationship with people?

Social media introduced us to easier method of communication, which was a huge reversal in people’s life. Taking in consideration that people lack the time to visit each other frequently to stay in touch. Social media gathered most people in different plate forms which is much more easier than having to visit someone. Social media affected our relationship in a good way, it made us even closer to each other. It is safer place to talk with your families, friends and loved ones in the time you want and when ever you feel free to communicate.

In conclusion Social media made life easier for people to communicate, which get people closer to each other, social media also helped people get faster news than before which is a good thing.

Social Construct & Society's Set of Lies:

Have you ever thought why beauty standards differ between different groups or why they exist? Well, beauty standards have changed drastically over time. But why is it that we've reached a point where people starve and torture themselves just to fit into societal standards? Well, it's precisely that: to fit in, because we know that by fitting in, we gain a privilege. Now you might be asking, "Why is this a social construct?" Well, it's because these are socially agreed-upon ideas that have been ingrained and embedded into our psyche and, overtime, just accepted as the norm. It's the same way we accept that we need water to survive. And you'd be surprised at how many aspects of our lives are just social constructs. But first, what's a social construct?

Social constructionism states that people develop knowledge of the world in a social context and that much of what we perceive as reality depends on shared assumptions. From this perspective, many things we take for granted and believe are objective reality are actually socially constructed and, thus, social constructs might be so ingrained that they feel natural, but they are not. Instead, they are an invention of a given society and thus do not accurately reflect reality.

Some examples of social constructivism include you waking up at 5-7 a.m., not because you’re done sleeping. Instead, it’s because that’s the time that society has set for us to start learning and working. Whereas things like money, working hours, breakfast, lunch, dinner, geographical lines, race, gender, etc. are all social constructs.

So now, if all of these things are social constructs, then what is real? What is reality? Well, one of my favorite definitions is "Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away." (Philip K. Dick) This is often why we hear the statement "money isn’t real," because if we all collectively stopped believing in it, it would become meaningless. So, don’t bother living other people's lives; if they think you’re weird, so be it. We can’t really define "weird" or anything else, as it differs from one person to another. All these boxes were created to benefit specific people, and in order to change things, we have to question things. And here’s the question you should ask: what purpose do you think they were constructed to serve?

We live in a world where we are all aware of our wrongdoings and serious actions are being taken in order to change the planet to a better place. A great example where this is shown is the COP meetings that are held annually. COP stands for “Conference of Parties”. During those meetings, most of the United Nations take part in discussions about climate related problems that are faced on a global level.

Every year, this conference is held in a different country. For example, this year, COP28 is being held in the United Arab Emirates, specifically in the same place where Expo 2020 was hosted last year.

The country is anticipating a large audience from various regions around the world. A plan of action is anticipated this year with guidelines within the area of resilient food systems and sustainable agriculture.

Over the years, several guidelines have been placed through action plans. The Paris Agreement in 2015 planted the rule where the rise of temperature should stay below 2°C and increase the efforts to limit the temperature increase below 1.5°C. Another example is COP26 where the Global Methane Pledge was signed. This pledge states the goal to limit methane emissions by 30% by the year 2030 compared to the levels in 2020.

One of the goals that are highlighted under COP is maintaining mitigation and adaptation regarding natural disasters. The ultimate goal is to achieve sustainability in life as soon as possible. A great success is expected in this year’s conference to solve world environmental problems.

This topic is important for all of us because we tend to use social media all the time daily, not knowing that there is also a negative side that can affect our mental health which is a big deal to the point that it can affect your character and the way u act in real life which could mess a lot of good opportunities that get in your way like friendships, relationships, jobs, schools, and colleges. Hopefully, this essay will make a clear link between Mental Health and Social Media, so those perceptions and limitations are broken down further. It is important to do that because understanding the links between mental health and social media in life will help create a happier society.

Our main question in this essay is “How well-being is affected by the hours you spend on platforms like Instagram and TikTok? Are you feeling the pressure? “ well social media consists of many big platforms that people use, especially the popular ones like Instagram, Tiktok, and Twitter. Many people use them for hours by hours I mean 7 to more hours in a day which is not healthy. On these platforms, you can see numerous people posting themselves you know making sure to look perfect and never show their imperfections according to the beauty standards, without knowing how this can affect many people's mental health and the way they view themselves, especially kids and teenagers. Our first negative impact is Comparison and Self-Esteem, One of the most common issues linked to social media is the constant comparison it encourages. People often see idealized versions of others' lives on platforms like Instagram. This can lead to a fall in self-esteem and feelings as people all around the ages compare their own lives to these polished representations. Secondly and most importantly everyone knows about it, we get taught about it at schools which is Cyberbullying, Social media can be a big ground for cyberbullying. Negative comments and harassment can have severe consequences for one's mental health, causing anxiety, depression, and in extreme cases, even suicidal thoughts. Many celebrities experience this and some of them have affected their mental health so much to the point that they committed suicide, like our sweet Sulli may she rest in peace. She's a K-pop idol/actress who has committed suicide because of the extreme bullying she has been experiencing through social media and real life. Thirdly Validation and Likes, The quest for likes and validation on social media platforms can lead to obsession. When people don't receive the expected number of likes or comments on their posts, it can trigger feelings of unsatisfying, sadness, and disappointment.

As a teenager myself, I admit I've been through all of this, especially in quarantine I had nowhere to go or do because of Corona so all I did was stay up all day in my room with my phone and go through all the social media platforms, to the point that I don't sleep enough at night. I used to usually take up 7 hours minimum and 13 maximum screentime. Having this routine every day has affected me badly mentally and physically, especially mentally I forgot how to communicate with others in real life, and my self-esteem has decreased over time, I kept staring at the pretty girls' posts on Instagram and tiktok while comparing myself to them, wishing I was perfect like the way they are, forgetting how beautiful and perfect already I am. However, at this moment I'm trying my best to focus more on my health mentally and physically, so no more of that old routine.

Social media has become a routine in our day, we can’t pass a the day without social media, and that’s so unhealthy for our mental health and other health issues, such as social anxiety Depression and all that mental health issues, that if you were addicted to social media and not social life is not really that great.

Connecting with each other has become easier we can reach for each other really quickly, not like the past we past letters to reach or connect with people or go to them. Connecting in social media costed some problem, there for some people can build a conversation by chatting but in real life they don’t really cooperate really easlly with people. Social anxiety also has been a problem and the cause of this is siting at home on social media the haul day with socializing with the out side word these may be the causes if you were addicted.

Terms of relation ship in my opinion in soical media we get to know so many people and talk to all kind of people, but you can have some trust issues you can’t trust any body easily in social media but its a big place to build relation ships. Social media can make relation ships more fragile because you can see the person in really to get to know them really good and trust them fully trust, for some people it may be strong they may trust the people that they met online and have a great relationship with them it depends on how the person think about others.

In conclusion social media can case issue but help you at the same time in you life you can know what ever you want to know form social media and search any thing it will appear for you straight away.

Friendship

Everyone has encountered that one person that makes them feel at home. As I was saying this, who was on your mind? Anybody may be it your parents, siblings, mother, father, or

even a complete stranger who became your everything.

These friendships as uncommon as soulmates; very few people have ever gone years without having a true buddy, and some have even grown up with their companion. And I'm not talking about a lot of friends; rather, I'm referring to that one special lady or boy who always makes you feel lighter, better, and easier the kind of friend that is there for you no matter what and who always expects the same in return. A friendship is defined by mutual support and constant return. Although each friendship is unique, I can assure you that everyone has at least one friend that adores them unconditionally.

Every friendship is lovely, yet there are many different kinds of friendships. The finest kind of friendships are those that combine all of the above, where you are both successful, happy, engaged, and run a business together. Some friendships are founded on love, while others are focused on strengthening each other. Love is present everywhere, but you must know how to offer it, where to give it, when to give it, and whether the love you give is equal to the love you get. Since you never know when your time is over, always be kind and smile even during difficult times. Spread love and happiness. You must constantly love yourself in order to be able to love others. Putting oneself first is a must for spreading and experiencing happiness

War on the bored

Chess is a board game that has captured hearts and minds of people for centuries. Chess is a deeply enjoyed pastime that brings people together. Because of its complex tactics and rich history, it is also referred to as the royal game. Additionally, playing chess can help people acquire a wide range of talents.

First of all, based on my personal experience, I did initially find chess challenging because it required me to learn a lot of information, such as the names of the pieces, their point values, different strategies, and more. There are benefits and drawbacks to chess. The benefits include improving mental skills and thinking development, while the drawbacks include initial training time and understanding requirements that can lead to frustration and boredom throughout play. Chess is a game board with 64 distinct squares that is played by two players. Being a chess player has great advantages, but the game itself is much better. It's like a war, with players always learning new tactics and ideas to win.

Finally, based on my personal experience, I think that playing chess is a great way to develop strategy and have fun while also becoming stronger. It's like a chess match in life. Since the ideal moment might never arrive or might arrive too late, you must seize your own opportunities and never hesitate to act.

“The great thing about chess is it’s a game for oneself. You don’t work on what you can’t control, you just work on yourself. And I think if more people did that, we’d all be a lot better off”-Daniel Naroditsky.

Topic: if everyone gets the same exact pay no matter what job they work.

Humans can’t live without hierarchy; that’s our nature. Take, for example, a lion living in his habitat. Will that lion be willing to share his prey that he worked hard to chase and hunt? The answer is no. As humans, we fall naturally at the top of the food chain. That is because we can utilize tools to hunt whatever creature we want. But what about the food chain among humans?

Humans aren’t all that innocent; they have, like every other creature, something called greed. We can’t just live as a community with “equal” circumstances and expect a happy ending.

If we distributed equal income to the people, Someone, no matter what, will always be unsatisfied. People will protest; people will say “This person doesn’t even work or look after children; why do we get equal pay when all they do is sleep?”. Having an equal income doesn’t mean satisfying the people. What would happen to the economy if everyone had the same exact amount of pay? Humans will never be satisfied with just that.

If the money source is secured, and no matter what you do you get the same income as every other person. You wouldn’t work hard, if you kept on working, that is. Why do people work in different jobs with different responsibilities if they all earn the same? Why would someone be tiring themselves out for the same pay as someone who doesn’t work as much, if they work at all?

Money will lose all its value; money is the thing that differentiates the poor from the rich. Not that it's a good thing for society to be unequal, but there's something about the equilibrium in the society. Every person gives what they can and gets it back. Everyone's role is important, even if it's just a small part. That's just life; we can't create a synthetic world where everyone has equal income; instead, we can focus on providing jobs to each individual.

By giving everyone a “universal basic income,” it enables people to simply not do anything. How would the economy and the country’s financial state be? Money would be a worthless piece of paper; what does money matter when everyone has it?

Imagine a society in which everyone receives a basic income without exception. This idea has both advantages and disadvantages.

Positively, poverty would be decreased and everyone would have access to enough money to live comfortably. People who aren't constantly concerned with money may launch creative and advanced businesses. Rather than choosing a career only to make ends meet, you may choose one that you truly enjoy. Additionally, it may lessen financial stress in people.

It's not all sunshine, though. Giving money to everyone could result in greater taxes and be very expensive. Some people are concerned that this would result in higher costs, meaning your money will not go as far. Another worry is that some people might not want to work if everyone had a guaranteed salary, which could make it difficult to complete tasks.

If this happened, work may transform. Choosing a career based only on salary is not always the best option for people.

Sustainability in life

Sustainability, or the capacity to protect the planet's resources for future generations, has gained popularity among scholars and the general public in many nations across the world. The terms "sustainable city," "sustainable economy," and "sustainable car" have all gained a lot of popularity in recent years. One of the well-known CDG goals, sustainability in life, is the primary focus of today's attention. The ability to protect life and maintain the dignity of a person's body and soul is what it means to be sustainable in life.

Sustainability in life can be achieved through various ways. One of the most effective methods is ensuring a high quality in the medical services available, medical services can range from premedical workers to more specified medical works and doctors such as anesthesiologists. Having all of these medical services available will increase the patient's satisfaction and more importantly the patient's wellbeing. Another affective mechanism of achieving sustainability in life is ensuring the availability of advanced technologies when it comes to transportation and nutrition, ensuring a safer transportation and healthy dietary options available. Will improve the quality of life which leads to achieving sustainability in life.

To conclude today’s topic, I would like to take our city, Dubai, as an example. Dubai is one of the most successful cities in achieving sustainability in life; when Dubai’s leaders paid extra attention to achieving sustainability in life, the average age of Dubai’s population increased.

Social media has transformed the way we interact with others and has become an essential part of our everyday lives. It has changed how people engage with one another and created new channels for social interaction, networking, and communication. Some contend that it has improved our bonds, while others think it has made our connections weaker.

The way we communicate with one another has changed as a result of social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. They have built a global village where we may quickly connect with individuals around the globe. The barriers to contact that were before based on geography and time have mostly vanished. With the ease of modern communication, friends, family may now exchange updates and recollections in real time.

Social media has a complex effect on relationships. On the one hand, technology has improved ties by giving people a way to keep up long-distance friendships, get in touch with old friends, and develop empathy and global knowledge. Regardless of their geographical locations, people may come together to commemorate milestones like anniversaries and birthdays. It has also given people the ability to interact with one another and share interests and support social issues, which may deepen ties based on shared values and beliefs.

strengthening brittle ties. With people frequently sharing well manicured versions of their lives, it has brought up new kinds of social pressure, anxiety, and comparison. Social competitiveness that is unhealthy and based on inflated expectations might result from this. Furthermore, the convenience of communicating online can occasionally has decreased in-person conversations, leading to connections that seem shallow and less important.

In conclusion, social media has completely transformed our social lives by altering the ways in which we communicate with one another. Relationships have become more fragile and stronger at the same time. Social media has a dual impact on relationships: while it creates new obstacles and complexities, it also offers chances for connection and communication. The way people use social media ultimately determines how it affects relationships, this highlights the necessity of thoughtful and balanced participation to preserve the quality of our relationships in the digital age.

Write an essay using the following prompt:

How the environment influences our lives? What role does psychology play in our daily life?

The environment we are surrounded by can influence our lives. Whether we realize it or not, our surroundings, including both natural and artificial environments, shape our perception, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Nonetheless, psychology plays a crucial role in helping us to understand and navigate our daily lives. In this essay we will discuss the relationship between psychology and the environment, by examining how they affect our existence.

Our daily routines and behaviors are greatly influenced by our physical surroundings, which include our homes, communities, and workplaces. Living in a busy urban area, for instance, can expose people to high levels of stress and a fast-paced lifestyle, which can result in different psychological reactions than in calm rural areas. One's psychological health can be impacted by a variety of factors, including the accessibility of open spaces, the availability of resources, air quality, and noise pollution. In addition, our daily activities, emotions, and productivity are greatly influenced by the climate and geographic location. Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is associated with reduced sunlight during long, harsh winters in some regions; on the other hand, sunny regions receive more natural light exposure, which improves mood and energy levels.

On the other hand, psychology provides us with the information and skills we need to understand and adjust to our environment while also providing insightful information about how the human mind and behavior function. It helps us gain a better knowledge of our feelings, motives, and mental processes, enabling us to face obstacles and make wise judgments. This knowledge is essential for stress management, surviving hardship, and building stronger bonds with others. Furthermore, psychology emphasizes the importance of individual differences in how people react to their surroundings by highlighting our distinct personalities, talents, and weaknesses. It offers a framework for understanding the many ways people deal with stress, adjust to change, and pursue happiness, enabling unique stress management techniques depending on specific requirements and situations.

In summary, psychology and the environment are interconnected elements of our existence that interact profoundly, with each influencing the other. Our experiences and behaviors are shaped by our surroundings, and psychology gives us the knowledge and skills to comprehend and adjust to them. In one form or another, they influence everything from our long-term goals and aspirations to our everyday routines and habits, all of which contribute to our general well-being. We can live more satisfying and balanced lives, making the most of the environment around us and mastering the mechanisms of our own thoughts, by realizing and utilizing the interaction between these two forces.

If I had a superpower:

Flying:

If I could fly, I would travel everywhere without concern for the costs or problems that I might face traveling by airplane. I would dream of visiting places without worrying about anything else but my happiness. I will have the freedom that everyone wishes to have in this life.

Teleportation:

Teleporting is a bit connected to flying, in which I can travel and visit places I dream of going to. It has a difference, though; if there is an emergency, I can teleport myself immediately to save the people in danger. This would be beneficial to myself as well as the community I’m living in.

Telekinesis:

Having the ability to move and control objects using the power of the mind would be a useful tool for me as a lazy person. I would move anything at any time without moving myself or breaking a sweat. As a lazy person, this superpower would be very fun to have.

Invisibility:

Being able to make myself invisible would be very beneficial to knowing what others say behind your back. I’m a person who sometimes cares and listens to what others say about me. This is because I like to be seen as a very kind and social person to make them feel confident about me.

Telepathy (Mindreading):

This superpower could be linked with the invisibility superpower. It would let me know what the person in front of me is thinking about. In addition, what are they thinking of me and what are their thoughts. This would give me an idea of what kind of person they are and in case I need to distance myself from them or not.

Green planet

All of us know that fossil fuels are unrenewable energy so we cannot guarantee that they will be with us for a long time if they expire we can never import them again, So we must then rely on energies that can be renewed, such as Solar, wind, and hydro energy.

Today we live in an era of development, that is, everything depends on new things and modern technology, of course, we can replace old energies such as gas, oil, and fossil fuels with new energies that are considered renewable energies, for example, Solar energy is considered one of the most important energies that can be used in every way, countries are due to the presence of the sun everywhere and it is renewable energy, meaning it is impossible for it to be exhausted and will remain with us for an unlimited time because the sun is always present. But sometimes we'll face one problem and the problem is the sun is not present at night so we can't use it at night, but the solution is to use the wind energy at night because sometimes at night the percentage of air is high and the weather is windy, as some scientists have mentioned the absence of the sun increases the percentage of wind at night, so we can replace solar energy and solar panels with wind energy at night due to its effectiveness.

I will now mention one of the most important points that guarantees us that we can live using these renewable energies which is sustainability, we know that the year 2023 is the year of sustainability in the United Arab Emirates which was announced by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the president of the United Arab Emirates, In line with His Highness’s instructions that this year is the year of sustainability, we have launched many future projects, such as solar panels placed by Dubai Municipality in all homes in the city and most of the emirates of the country. This year will be the beginning of our country’s journey towards sustainability preserving the planet and making it always green.

Nothing is complicated for us everything is easy and we can do it as long as we remain on the land of the United Arab Emirates.
