Can you make a more powerful message to promote Black pride? Personally, I don't think so. This song is omnipresent in my life and gave (and still keeps giving) me simple empowering words and sentiments when I felt my blackness was belittled or questioned. When I got into breakdancing as a teenager, this is song was undeniably one of the best songs to help me translate what I was feeling into my own style and movement. - Arjuna
