• We are asking that all residents provide us a cellphone number where they can receive text messages and phone calls so that we can deliver urgent communications in a timely manner. We will collect these from you when we deliver a letter covering this protocol to your door.  

• Should our community have a confirmed COVID-19 case, the following measures will be put into place:

o You will be asked to isolate in your apartment until otherwise notified.

 You can still watch all your favorite TV and work on that puzzle you’ve been putting off.

o All meals will continue to be provided to your apartment three times per day (including snacks).

o Bus service is suspended.

o We will continue to restrict visitors.

 Only essential healthcare providers will be allowed access.

 Please call the front desk to arrange.

o All mail will begin to be delivered to apartments once a day.

o Residents will receive on-going communication regarding the status of the building.

• In the event that the case of COVID-19 is confirmed we will transition the front desk phone to our Community Support Center in the Holiday offices.  This will allow all your questions and needs to receive the attention they need, while freeing up the staff in the building to support the additional workload due to the increase in safety and security measures.

Dear Residents and Family, 

 

We now have a confirmed case of COVID-19 within our community and we want to make sure that you are prepared with next steps. First off, please do not panic. You have an entire community and organization that is ready to take care of you. Our number one priority is to keep our residents and associates safe. 

 

We will be taking the following measures to ensure the health and well-being of our residents and associates. 

All residents will be asked to isolate in their apartment until otherwise advised. 

You may continue to enjoy cable TV and catch up on your favorite shows. 

No group activities regardless of the size of the group.

All meals will continue to be delivered to resident apartments, three (3) times daily (including snacks). 

No visitors will be allowed in the building. 

Only Medically necessary care will be allowed entry.  

All mail will be delivered. 

Dog walks must be scheduled with the office and residents must use the main entry.

We will continue to update residents regularly.

Hello Regency Residence Family & Friends, 

With hurricane season here, I wanted to share some of our preparation. Our plans have increased in complexity with COVID-19 concerns and Holiday has adapted to ensure safety from both the storm and infectious disease. Whether the event is a shelter in place or evacuation situation, we want you to have peace of mind.   

There are a few items we want to bring to your attention should we need to initiate the hurricane or natural disaster protocols. While we balance COVID protocols during an emergency event, we encourage you to make plans to host your loved ones well in advance of any emergency orders that may be placed on a City, County, or State. Should the need arise, we will transport residents to another community or evacuation location on chartered buses. If a resident requires medical transport, this will be at the cost of the resident. I have asked my team to have dialog with each family or resident to create a preliminary list of those planning to shelter with family. This will be of great help as we develop final evacuation plans if needed. Please feel free to contact me at 727-849-9335 if you would like to discuss plans to pick up your loved one in the event of an impending event. 

For residents choosing to stay with Holiday, the community will shelter in place and have as minimal disruption to services as possible. If a mandatory evacuation order is issued by state or local officials, we will evacuate to another Holiday community in an area of safety. Due to the emergency, there will be some changes in how residents are served. 

All residents and associates will be screened for symptoms prior to evacuation. 

Residents will be paired up to occupy vacant units and common room spaces in the receiving community (college dorm style with cots) while doing our best to maintain social distancing guidelines. 

Resident pets will need to be transported in a pet carrier. If the pet cannot be transported in a carrier, we recommend you pick up the pet in advance of the event for boarding. 

Residents should have a “go bag” prepared that contains: 

5 days of clothing 

5 days of medication (minimum) 

5 days of toiletries 

All the chargers they will need for any electronic devices they bring 

Any important documents 

A pillow and blanket to use with the cot 

Residents should be prepared to be away for an extended period in the event there is damage to their home community. 

It is always a last option to evacuate a community and Holiday only does so when danger is imminent, or when ordered to do so by a government agency. The safety and security of our residents and associates is my top priority. I appreciate your support and cooperation in planning for an emergency.
