If Singapore has more green spaces and more trees and plants, it will help to reduce the negative effects of air pollution by factories, vehicles and machines. This is because plants take in CO2 in the process of photosynthesis and produce O2 in return. Hence, to help mitigate the harmful effects of air pollution in Singapore, plants are indeed necessary

Residents in Singapore should also strive to use energy efficient appliances, and install energy saving options. We should also look to other forms of energy, such as solar energy, instead of depending solely on fossil fuels.
