If you’ve got a project idea that boosts activity levels and helps make the sports sector greener, this fund could help you bring it to life. Organisations can apply for funding of between £300 and £15,000. Projects must meet one of six criteria:

Carbon emissions: travel and facilities

Circular economy: supply chains, products and waste

Blue-green environment quality and use

Biodiversity

Adapting to climate change and extreme weather events

Just transition: inequalities, inclusion and participation

It's a great opportunity for clubs, charities, schools, and local authorities working towards creating a healthier planet and more active communities.

The National Archives will launch its Community Hub Grants programme in late 2025 to support community-led research across the UK’s galleries, libraries, archives, museums and heritage sectors. The scheme comprises three strands: Seed Corn Grants of £500–£5,000 for early-stage pilot projects; Skills Bursaries of up to £1,000 for individual training in community heritage practice; and Project Grants of up to £30,000 for collaborative ventures between at least one gallery, library, archive or museum and a community group. A total of £550,000 will be available for new ideas, build skills and fund lasting resources—such as research, workshops, digitisation, exhibitions and digital storytelling—to address a shortage of grassroots heritage initiatives.

Workshop 1 - 10.00-12.30 - Cooperatives

More than a shop, what actually is a coop?

We’ve all heard of the coop supermarket, but did you know that a cooperative is a business model where ownership is shared between the workers, customers and/or residents, instead of being focused in the hands of bosses and shareholders. Members control the business democratically through one member, one vote. Does this sound interesting? Do you want to know more? Is this a good fit for your project or idea? Is it a way forward for your organisation? Come and find out more from GCDA, specialists in the field.

Workshop 2 - 12.30-14.00 - Community Ownership

What is an Asset of Community Value? Is there a local building or space you think would be a great community owned asset? There are currently 3 pubs that have been nominated as Assets of Community Value in Rushmoor. However, it doesn’t have to be a pub or even a building! It can be land or buildings that the community uses or has used in the past and could use again. Want to know more? Come armed with your questions and ideas.

Cost: £10 – Join for the day or one of the two workshops to help you understand more about the value of Community Ownership and Cooperatives. All tickets are £10 so come for the day to get the best value for your money.
