SNG's Thriving Communities is open for applications and will close on Friday 30^th January 2026 or earlier if all funding is allocated.  Projects must be taking place in an SNG (Sovereign Network Group) community (this includes Hart District) and be actively promoted to SNG customers.  

This year as part of Thriving Communitiest here are 2 main funds:-

 ​. The Strengthening Place Grant will support projects that focus on a broad range of themes, including Health, Wellbeing & Social Isolation, Ageing Well, Young People, Community Safety, Environment & Sustainability, Youth and Ageing Well for community groups. ​ 

 ​. The Skills & Learning Grant will focus on Community Digital Support, Financial skills and resilience &  Family Learning and Food Education. ​

• Hampshire County Council Briefing - 14 July - 14.00-15.00 on Teams. This briefing will set out HCC's preferred option for the future structure of local government in our region . This option will be presented to Cabinet for consideration on 18 July, and if it is approved, this proposal will then be subject to a public engagement exercise seeking further views over the summer. • North Hampshire Briefing for Voluntary & Community Organisations - 15 July - 10-12.00 on Teams - joint briefing by Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council, Hart District Council and Rushmoor Borough Council. The briefing will provide an overview on the latest plans and give you an opportunity to give your views. The workshop will be chaired by the three council leaders followed by a presentation about Local Government Re-organisation and will outline the preferred option. Booking link here.

Workshop 1 - 10.00-12.30 - Cooperatives

More than a shop, what actually is a coop?

We’ve all heard of the coop supermarket, but did you know that a cooperative is a business model where ownership is shared between the workers, customers and/or residents, instead of being focused in the hands of bosses and shareholders. Members control the business democratically through one member, one vote. Does this sound interesting? Do you want to know more? Is this a good fit for your project or idea? Workshop 2 - 12.30-14.00 - Community Ownership

What is an Asset of Community Value? Is there a local building or space you think would be a great community owned asset? There are currently 3 pubs that have been nominated as Assets of Community Value in Rushmoor. However, it doesn’t have to be a pub or even a building! It can be land or buildings that the community uses or has used in the past and could use again. Want to know more? Come armed with your questions and ideas.

Please help the Council promote this important exercise with your members and service users. This engagement survey is an opportunity for people to share their views on how they wish to see a new unitary council run and Hart District Council would like as many people as possible in Hart to have their voices heard. • To identify and explain how to carry out at least 3 first aid procedures in order to preserve a life, prevent the situation worsening and promote recovery.

• To be able to perform and demonstrate a primary survey using DRSABCD when attending to a casualty.

• To demonstrate and perform safe and effective bleeding control when attending to a bleeding casualty.

• To explain how to prioritise treatment whilst minimizing risks to yourself and others.
