A few months ago I visited Southern California shores and saw the sea lions and seals resting on the rocks, it was such a beautiful sight. However, I soon saw something absolutely sickening: people climbing over the barrier and smothering them. Their photo op was more important than the stress and discomfort of the wild animal. The worst part: the sea lions were barking and warning them to back up.

Photo: La Jolla, California.
