The person that I will be conducting this interview with is my grandma Patsy Wilson. Patsy is a remarkable women that has made the most of life even though she has lived with constant struggle for most of it. I have always admired and looked up to her not just because she is kin but because she never complains no matter how bad the hand that is dealt to her is. She has had to provide for others almost all of her life since she lost her mother at twelve and chose to become a school teacher so she could watch over my uncle that is handicapped as he progressed through school. Needless to say she doesn’t have a selfish bone in her body and I chose to interview her because I want to strive to be more like her. Since she only lives about ten minutes away and is retired, the interviewing times will be very easy to maneuver or reschedule if called for. I will normally go and see her Tuesdays and Saturdays so i've chosen to conduct the interviews at her and my house around lunch time on February fifth and ninth. I have chosen to record the interview experience with a camera, voice recorder and by taking thorough notes. I’ll take notes on the answers she provides from my questions and use my phone camera and recorder to document the scenery, expressions and tone of voice of the interviewee. The environment and setting will also be documented by camera or video in order to give insight into her everyday life now and what she lives with daily. I will also take pictures of old documents and memorabilia that tells of her both her accomplishments and struggles in life.
