I can recall that a electrical circuit is made up of a wire bulb battery and a switch . The purpose of putting a battery in is that it is the source of electricity ,and once the circuit is connected ,electricity flows from the positive side of battery through the wire as a pathway .Then ,it will flow through a closed circuit and then reach the bulb to light it up .the bulb will only light up when the wire is touching the metal tip and metal casing of bulb .After that , the electric current will flow back to the battery.
However, the materials needs to be a condutor not an insulator to light up the bulb. The battery can come up with different sizes but same voltage .Batteries can also be arranged in parallels or series. In a series circuit, all components are connected together to form a single path for current flow. In a parallel circuit, all components are connected across each other with exactly two electrically common nodes with the same voltage across each component.

- There can be bulbs in series arrangement, or parallel arrangement.
- A light bulb is made out of the filament, a battery/ batteries, metal casing, metal tip, bulb and wires.
- The bulb is made out of glass, the filament is made out of tungsten, the metal casing and metal tip are made out of either aluminium or brass and the wires are mostly made out of copper.
- The wires are mostly covered by rubber casing to prevent people from getting electric shocks.
- A switch controls whether it is a closed or open circuit.
- An open circuit is when a switch is turned off and electricity will not flow. A closed circuit is when the switch is turned on and electricity will flow.
- There are conductors and insulators/ non-conductors of electricity.
- In series arrangement, as the number of bulbs increase, the brightness of the bulbs decrease. But in parallel arrangement, as the number of bulbs increase, the brightness of the bulbs stay the same.
- Having bulbs arranged in parallel requires more power.
- Having bulbs arranged in series requires less power but the bulbs will be dimmer. And if one bulb fuses, all of the bulbs will not work.
- The best conductor of electricity is silver, followed by copper, then gold.
- Some examples of insulators of energy are rubber, wood, plastic, paper, etc.
- In order for a light bulb to light up, it needs a wire to touch the metal casing and the metal tip.
- The size of a battery does not affect the voltage of the battery.
- A battery has a positive terminal and a negative terminal both located at opposite ends of the battery.

Electricity is a system. It consists of an electric circuit. The electric circuit consists of the parts, bulb, switch, wire, and battery. The bulb is made out of glass because it is transparent, cheap, and has a high melting point. The bulb is specifically made of soda-lime glass as it is a hard glass that withstands high temperatures. The bulb consists of a filament, a metal casing, and a metal tip. There are two wires in the bulb, one connected to the metal casing and the other connected to the metal tip. The filament is made of tungsten as it has a high-melting point. Next, is the battery. The battery is an energy source. The battery has two sides, the positive end, and the negative end. It doesn't matter that the if the size of the battery is bigger, it has a higher voltage. Even smaller batteries have higher voltage as well. Next, the wires. The wires are very important as well as for electricity to flow through, wires are needed to connect all parts together to form a complete circuit. Wires are usually made of copper. Lastly, the switch. If the switch is open, the circuit is not complete which is called the 'open circuit ' but if the switch is closed, it is called the 'closed circuit ' in where the circuit is complete. Sometimes, the switch is not needed as well. There are also conductors and insulators of electricity. Conductors are good while insulators are bad in that they do not allow electricity to flow through. When the circuit is complete, make sure that the wires are connected to the metal casing and the metal tip of the bulb to light it up. There are also series and parallel arrangements.

The electrical system works to gather to perform a specific function. The electrical system consist of a bulb, wire, battery and switch(not necessary)
Bulb- Has a metal filament, metal casing, metal tip and a glass. The wire must touch the metal casing and the metal tip to light up.
(*When the bulb lights up it does not only provide light but also heat.)
Battery-is the energy source, has a positive terminal and a negative terminal.
Wire-made of copper, covered in rubber to prevent from getting shocked. Wire is made of copper to as it is a good conductor of electricity. Rubber is used as a outer covering because it is a good insulator of electricity.
Switch-controls the flow of a current.
There is a open circuit and a closed circuit.
In an open circuit the current cannot flow. In a closed circuit current can flow.
We can arrange circuits in two arrangement. It is the parallel arrangement and the series arrangement. In the parallel arrangement each bulb gets the exact same battery voltage and the amount of brightness remains the same for each. However, in the series arrangement each bulb shares the battery voltage equally. If there is two bulbs and the battery voltage is 10 each bulb gets 5 voltage. Similarly, they share the brightness equally. And when 1 bulb fuses up the rest cannot work in the series arrangement. These are the factors affecting the bulbs. In our HDBs' the bulbs used is rather arranged in parallel arrangement than series arrangement as it would be easier and sufficient for us.
