Animal Farm is a political fable about farm animals that symbolizes the hardships and cruel dictatorship during the Russian Revolution. In Animal Farm the animals overthrow their human farmer to create a society based on equality for all animals, but their dream of a utopia gets corrupted by the power-hungry pigs, led by Napoleon, who eventually causes a brutal dictatorship which mirrors Stalin's reign in the Soviet Union during the Russian Revolution.

Animal Farm focuses on the corruption of power when put into the wrong hands and how even good ideas of a rebellion can lead to a cruel and twisted dictatorship. The story illustrates how the rebellion, an idea put fourth to create a new and better lifestyle without cruel humans, led to a tyrannical dictatorship led by the pigs because they wanted power and to seize control of the farm. Animal Farm shows how wanting power and greed can lead to cruel dictatorships. It also shows how during the Russian Revolution Stalin's totalitarian reign was corrupt and how his manipulation of power led to betrayal of the revolution's ideals.

Animal Farm and Fahrenheit 451 both show the suppression of knowledge and individuality, corrupt government, censorship, and the abuse of power. Animal Farm shows how humans are bad and that animals are good. The animals fight for their freedom from the humans only for a new corrupt leader to arise, except it's an animal instead of a human. Fahrenheit 451 shows how Montag believed the government was doing the right thing until Clarisse started to change his mind and make him see past the surface. Eventually Montag rebels and becomes an outsider to the corrupt society and stands with the rebellion to create a new society that accepts books and knowledge.

A movie adaptation of Animal Farm was created to showcase the plot of the animals rebellion in hope of a new society created by the animals. Most of the movies plot follows the same story line as the book and shows how Napoleon twists his power for his own good. Some things were changed in the movie including the ending in which the animals revolt against the pigs which was not written in the book.

This art piece shows a new perspective to George Orwell's book "Animal Farm". by visualizing the grotesque transformation of the pigs into human-like dictators and rulers. Through this exaggerated art style you can see how the pigs' bloated bodies, honorable clothing and smug expressions, it highlights the corruption created by the pigs. The art captures the absurdity and horror of the pigs becoming like man when they hated man in the first place which intensifies the book's message about the destructive nature of power in the wrong hands. Steadman's art does not just reflect on the meaningful words of the book, but it amplifies the dark and emotional impact as well.

Animal Farm and Fahrenheit 451 both explore how those who are in control can manipulate their power and truths to maintain control over their societies. In Animal Farm, the pigs twist words to rewrite history to justify their actions and make the other animals conform to their ideas. In Fahrenheit 451, the government burns books to suppress knowledge and keep people from thinking differently and criticality thinking. Both texts show how controlling information can lead to leaders being able to corrupt their peoples and manipulate the masses. These books also reveal the disturbing aspect of human nature and how we have the tendency to surrender to higher power for comfort and security. These books warn us about the importance of truth and the resistance to corrupted control.
