Ray Gilbert and his staff should be commended for the work they did managing the movers and getting FGL in tip top shape.

FGL Staff should also be commended on their willingness to come in beyond the 12 hours they were paid to ensure their rooms were ready for students.

Lastly, Antoniette Pio and her staff have been phenomenal getting students through the lunch line quickly and safely. Each day she continues to tweak the process to bring down the overall serving time.

Communication between DO & Building Principals

Due to the number of students at FGL we are serving between 75-100 students a lunch period. Students have minimal time to enjoy their lunch and I am receiving a few inquiries.

The staff really came together during the last week of summer to ensure the building was reading for students on 9/3.

They were remarkable all summer. If an item was misplaced or shipped to the wrong building they immediately were able to get it where it belonged.

Not once did anyone complain or grumble. They were positive all summer.

Buses have been getting to B-V 5-15 minutes late each afternoon. Therefore, they are leaving here 5-15 minutes later than planned.

Both pre-K to 2 buildings working to stay on the same page - weekly meetings with both Principals, GLL and a teacher from FW.

Realization that most teachers have signed up for the in person training (4) sessions which translates into anywhere from 6 - 8 coverages (not including Special Education teachers) on training days. is it possible to bring the trainer on site to do this so we can at least split grade levels and limit the number of subs we would need on a day from 8 down to 4 as an example. Do we have the ability to have our own staff run the PD for this?

Managing UPK is much more difficult than in the past. Working with the YMCA is time consuming and often difficult. Arrival and dismissal are confusing for the UPK parents and disruptive to the K-2 procedures.
