I believe that introducing residential schools creates so many disadvantages for the aboriginal because children were forced to live in these schools for years learning nothing of their cultural ways and being abused. Abuse alone leads to many disadvantages

The aspect of the Indian Act disadvantages First Nations, Metis and Inuit people the MOST is "Introduced residential schools". The smallest group that makes up society is the family, where families or relatives interact, within which identity is handed down and generations are passed on. However, children grew up losing their identity because they were separated from their families, and this is because children who are separated from the family do not inherit their identity, just like plants that die. After all, they are uprooted and do not receive nutrients.

The aspect of the Indian Act disadvantages First Nations, Metis and Inuit people the most would be that First Nations were forbid from speaking their native language and practicing their traditional religion. It was an attempt to erase who they are.

The aspect of the Indian Act that disadvantages First Nations, Metis and Inuit people the most would be denying them their right to vote. This is a disadvantage for them because they are not allowed to voice who they want to run this country, that will also effect them at the end of the day.
