My connection: This caddie studied Finance in college and ended up as a professional PGA Tour caddie and I would say this connects to me because I am also a finance major but have a love for sports and golf in general as well. I caddie back home in the summer time at a local country club near me so this video caught my eye right away considering he was a finance major as well and I would love to be a PGA Tour caddie one day.

Loves and Challenges: Loves doing a lot of analysts, loves numbers, day to day operations of a company. The biggest challenge is to figure out the problems with reporting numbers and keeping track of all the reports.

How to prepare: Earning a bachelor degree in finance and earning a financial degree in planning is a great start, experience helps as well. Communication skills and public speaking is huge as well and can be very helpful.

UMGC Experience: Learn how to manage his money, learn how to save and only spend when needed. This allowed him to become a successful treasury analyst.

My connection: Being a first year student in college has allowed me to learn the same steps and ideas that he has considering I only have so much money and need to learn and adapt to the lifestyle here to save it. This also goes with my story as I am a finance major and learning to save and not blow all your money away can go a long way with finance.

Loves and Challenges: Always wanted to be a banker, been in banking for about 30 years. Loves being a salesperson and helping people. Biggest challenge is finding qualified people to join his team but it's a tight market and high demand for being a banker.

How to Prepare: Learn analysis curial thinking and understand numbers and how they add up, dig deeper and find what works for you or the business and ask questions and learn.

Finding Success: If you can leave a company or community better than when you got there, then that is a prime example of success.

Ball State Experience: Did a great job of preparing for his future and what he learned is very valuable, where he learned the right team is a critical point for success.

My connection: I love to help people and my community and this seems like a prime product of this career. Also, allowing yourself to help and be a sales person is also a goal of mine and I would really enjoy that. The finance major is a very broad and generic major where it can lead you to many different places and jobs in the future.

Also, with all the advanced technology these days, I would think zoom or in person meetings would be the most common for communication with this job.

I would say green represents me the most  considering I always like to think for myself and am very focused no matter what I am doing. Whether that be school, sports, or even at work, I am focused no matter what. This also allows me to be efficient and get what I need to get done.
