         <description><![CDATA[<div>A UC de População e Sociedade centra-se na análise da interação entre (i) estruturas e dinâmicas demográficas e (ii) fenómenos sociais. Assim, tem por objetivo discutir as implicações sociais e territoriais das estruturas e processos de transformação da população, por um lado, e o impacto demográfico de valores e padrões de comportamento social, por outro. Uma vez que a UC está enquadrada no ramo de especialização em Políticas Sociais, tem ainda por objetivo avaliar as políticas sociais que incidem sobre problemas demográficos e sociais.</div>]]></description>
