Babies are new to this place when they arrive. Their caregiver is their first experience with this new scene that they are upon. The child's caregiver is the person that is the one that the baby depends on for everything. If the baby is hungry at this age group they can not fix their own food for example. They would depend on their caregiver. If they are not feeling well, lets say have a cold. They do not know how to medicate themselves. The baby is depending on the parent to console them with their lives because they can not depend on themselves obviously. This is the elementary school age. This is what looks like the measuring stick age. I hear you talking about the measuring stick often. This age makes me think that this is where it begins. I am experiencing this now with my daughter. She is 11 years old and I can see certain changes in her. There are certain things she wants to wear or certain things she doesn't want to wear. I can say that she gets along with others well. I always encourage her to try her best in all that she does. She loves to sing and dance.
