Thesis: In terms of the post-classical world, the developments of Islam and Buddhism had more differences than similarities when looking at economic prosperity, political institution, and social organization.

Similarities: both attracted people because of idea that all are equal in the eyes of the Higher Power, converts, members were persecuted, expanded via trade routes, merchants carried their respective religions when they traveled, used as economic expansion

Differences: While both appealed to the working class, Islam also appealed to nobles, while Buddhism failed to because as Buddhism was growing and developing as a religion in India in the Classical World, it was contested by Hinudism, where nobles and the elite liked Hinduism because it reinforced the caste system, whereas Buddhism introduced the idea that everyone was equal and only to be judged by moral standards and good deeds, rather than social standing. Buddhism shifted homeland, whereas Islam expanded and retained strong ties to homeland. Islam militarily expanded whereas Buddhism just went via trade. Islam took Constantinople and was a driving force in its decline. Buddhism didn't really conquer or do anything besides move to China

Synthesis: Christianity, much like Islam, diffused through military expansion and was the "enemy" to Islam during the Crusades.

Islam and Buddhism are two of the most impactful religions during the Post-Classical Period. These relations subsequently caused development in Eurasia, and Africa. Through this spread of religious culture, change occurred rapidly over the course of this historical periods, which would change the face of these religions, Christianity, and countless more to follow. With this, their religious similarities outweigh and are greater than the differences that would separate these two faiths.

Mahmud of Ghazni took on a conquest based upon pillaging and personal finance on India during the early post-classical period. With this many Buddhist houses of worship and other holy realms were destroyed as part of his conquest; this would cripple the Buddhist faith and the religion would neverfully recover, similarities were followers of the religious faith of Islam. When Christan Pope Urban the second launched the first crusade on the holy land whose inhabitants were followers of the ismalsic faith. As a result of this holy war christans took back the holy land of Jerusalem. Soon came the Second Crusade in which the Muslims had success in defeating the Christan religion in their religious homeland. Over time this crippled the amount of followers wither the religion and the effect Islam had over Western Europe.

Economically both Islam and Buddhism spread prostheses spread through the use of trade routes and trading with int eastern hempispere. Islam dominated control over Africa in except for ares such as Axum which were under Christian authority. With this, Islam had extensive effect over politics with these areas. This is similar to buddhisms spread over trading routes such as the silk roads; also there control of politics over post-classical Asia.

Socially, these faiths were more separated. Only instincts of items such as gender roles and high patriarchal societies would bring these parties together. Likewise, religious differences greatly separated these two and the rest of Europe during the Post-Classical Period. Instances of this being fudes against major religions, such as the Crusades. Many of these differences are still seen today in Asian, European, and African society.

Christianity, is one of the largest examples of social, political, and cultural fudes amungst Post-Classical society. Christianity's profound force within Europe, thanks to the cultural unification under the pope, effected and would effect surrounding nations for the entire time within the soon ended Post-Classical society, and the rest of history to come. The shaping of today's history is greatly thanks to the effect of Christianity on every element of society, then and now.

They also became the most popular in their respective region. Christianity had more political stability than Buddhism. Christianity had built more stable kingdoms and Buddhism didn't not setup many powerful kingdoms. As Christianity became larger they split into Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholicism. Buddhism stayed the same rather than split, instead they moved regions.

Impacts: Socially- Christianity created a division in Europe between the two churches. Both Christianity and Buddhism were despised. Buddhism was despised by doaist because of the popular following it attracted. Christianity was resented because many people thought the church was corrupt.
Economic: Both were spread by trade, Buddhism was spreads cross the Silk Road while Christianity was spread across various trade networks.
Politically: They were extremely different. Christianity had a larger impact politically because the church and the state were close while they were not as close for Buddhism and China. Christianity spread through conquest. Both created political conflict. Buddhism caused conflict in India because when Islam invaded India they persecuted Buddhists.
Synthesis: Environmentally, they were more different.
