They closed our office and I wasn't able to contact any of my old clients. Most of them got shuffled around to call centers and didn't have anyone helping them for several months. Many of them found me and asked what my plans were. Backtracking 1-2 years, I was unhappy with the corporate policies that were being implemented and had a desire for something new. When I heard that many clients wanted to continue working with me, I knew this was the time to make a move. I used some of my severance pay to solidify my personal financial situation and launched my RIA, Evergreen Financial Group, in February 2021. I now have the ability to work on my terms and have begun focusing my efforts on my niche - churches and young professional Christian families and retirees looking for Biblically-founded advice and stewardship. God is faithful and I have seen great growth and feedback from existing and new clients alike. The sky is the limit from here and I look forward to continued growth, flexibility, and freedom!
