I think this is a great saying Coach says because I think that often times we spend time thinking about the past and what we wish would have happened instead of focusing on what we are going to do. If you focus on the past, your future won't unravel, nor will you ever have time to think about whatever it is that you want for your future. If you focus on your mistakes of the past, the guilt that it caused you will continue to be with you until you forgive yourself.
