         <title>Harriet Tubman </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Harriet Tubman was the founder of the Underground railroad. Tubman escaped slavery and helped others find freedom. Tubman made a difference in the abolitionist movement by becoming an abolitionist. Tubman returned to the southern states many of times to help the current slaves to freedom in the North states; Tubman helped over 300 slaves find freedom.  By helping people escape she became a known figure as an abolitionist and continued to help people on their search for freedom.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The son of a slave women and was a slaves himself. Douglass developed into a charismatic  speaker, and spoke on behalf of the slaved African Americans issues starting with slavery. Then hired by William Lloyd Garrison recognized his publicity skills to work at the  Massachusetts Anti-slavery society. Thus, created a spot for him in the abolitionist movement, Douglass inspired many and changed man’s view on slavery. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div> Nat Turner's Rebellion also known as the Southampton insurrection took place in Southampton county, Virginia. Nat Turner and his rebellious slaves took the lives of 55 to 65 people. Thus, Creating an uprising of angry white people taking a negative look on the abolitionist movement.The slaves had even tighter codes now, they could read or write, the slaves didn't have any sort of break/individualism. This event changed the way people looked at the slaves less like the victim and for as the the guilty. </div>]]></description>

         <title>The Underground Railroad</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The underground railroad was a secret route with  safe house's for slaves to have a place to eat and sleep on their long journey. The African Americans slaves escape into the free states in the North and Canada. Harriet Tubman lead the underground railroad and helped these slaves find freedom. Between 1800 and 1865 as many as 100,000 slaves took the underground railroad but not all made it to freedom.          <title>The Liberator </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Liberator was an anti-slavery newspaper that was written by William Lloyd Garrison in 1835. This newspaper is harshly worded and extremely aggressive. The Liberator impacted the the Abolition movement because people would read his newspaper and realized God wouldn't have wanted slavery. The south, however, was very against The Liberator, In fact, Georgia offered 5,000 dollars for Garrison's capture to put an end to the paper. The Liberator became the most influential newspaper of the antebellum anti-slavery crusade.</div>]]></description>
