For her first class, she had 15 people. By the second she had 30 and by the third she had 60. Her students really enjoyed her class and people kept bringing friends to her lessons so it grew in size quickly and rapidly. This was a big changing point in her career, and it was a starting point of her company. She war it because she wanted to promote the connection between her and her company. After that, people wanted ti buy Jazzercise apparel so they started selling that too. In the same year she also had trained over 1000 instructors and each instructor agreed to give Judi 30% of all their sales. By the end of 1980, Jazzercise inc. had brought in $1.9 million in profit just that year! In 1981, Judi Missett wrong a book called Jazzercise: A Fun Way to Fitness. She ended up selling around 400,000 copies which brought in a lot more revenue (the specific number was unconfirmed). Each successful Jazzercise instructor was able to being the owner $75k each year. They stay relevant by staying relevant and playing music that is popular amongst everyone. Its customers remain loyal and Jazzercise now offers more than 32,000 classes every week in 25 countries. All of its instructors go through a certification process, and the vast majority were inspired to teach after taking classes themselves. People stick with Jazzercise for so long because it is a fun and efficient way to lose calories and it is a judgement free zone.
