The email announcing the log in details for the following week’s community meditations has punctuated my lockdown life, introducing joy, peace and love in anticipating Jane’s expert guidance. 
Sr.Stan’s powerful encouragement to ask ourselves, ‘What remnant do I need to resurrect and hold for a long, silent time?’
These are only some of my memories of a year spent in the gentle embrace of the wonderful team at The Sanctuary. I am so happy that my relationship continues with the Being Present course with Jane and Jean.

 The meditation has been a lifeline for me during these difficult and strange times. It came home all the more to me, when my sister died in Kerry on 2nd January. I couldn't go to her funeral, visit or see any of my relatives. The sanctuary carried and supported me during this time. It encouraged me to trust in humanity. It is a welcoming place. It cares.
 
 I have taken inspiration from many of the programmes, the group meditation sessions and the mindful movement. I was also inspired by Sheila in Carlow to crochet after seeing her lovely crochet. 
 
 I feel very grateful to be part of this wonderful inspiring and uplifting community. I've grown in so many ways. Thank you. A special thank you to Sr. Stan, Sile Wall, Jane, Johanne, Louise and Tony Bates. Also the many people who guide us in meditation and Riana for the mindful movement class.

Thank you so much to you all for everything you have been doing over the past year and for helping me find my way back to a regular meditation practice.
I had the good fortune to come across the Community Meditation at the beginning of the pandemic and can definitely say that it became my 'Sanctuary' over the past year after a very challenging time in my life. 
I have really looked forward to those Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays and am so grateful to have been able to be part of such a kind, supportive community...long may it last.

6 months ago I signed up for the October 31 day meditation challenge and started participating in the 3 weekly online Guided Meditation Practices because I wanted to re-establise my daily mindfulness meditation practice. Feeling so grateful that my mindfulness learning journey over the last 6 months has included the 31 day Meditation Challenge, Monday mornings with Riana and Jane, Waiting for the Light, Mindfully Waiting For Easter, Les Robertson Lectures, Sound Baths with Simone, Sound Healing Workshop with Singing Bowls, The Art of Compassion Course, Weaving Mindfulness into your Daily Life workshop and the Being Present Course.

I would like to share this "Andra' Tutto Bene" (everything will be alright) rainbow which is a national symbol of hope and resilience in Italy. It was painted by our neighbour's daughter in March 2020 when Italy was the first country in Europe to go into lockdown.

The strength of the Sanctuary Tree trunk is also nourished and grown from above by Divine light. 
The hidden heart in the branches is Gods love for us ....ever present. ( though sometimes we don’t see it )

Our lives  have become  more engraved with peace love joy hope kindness gratitude and Divine light.
