1. This all started in the 90's. This cracked down on miss behaving in class and also minor things like how you wear your your uniforms. 1 in 6 public schools are black but 1 in 3 black students are sent to prison. Black students get punished more harsh than white students that will get punished.
2. This video shocked me the first time i watched because i felt that they were not giving black students a chance to show who they are or even what they can do in school. To me they want to see students of color fail in the school system mostly life you can say because if you put them in jail now you are saying that they will never be anything in life and that you are suppose to be in jail and not getting the education that you need to become something in life. This is a sad thing because even students that is in elementary school is facing things like getting arrested and the aren't even getting a chance to expand their education to move up to the next grade level

This isn't new news to me I was aware if what was going on at schools that have active police officers on campus, but I believe the officers abuse their force in school grounds. For example, the video of the police officer knocking over a girl in her desk and dragging her across the floor, I felt like there was no need for all that.

Seeing this video made me a bit angry because it seems like more students of color are being targeted with consequences rather than any other race. Showing the video of the African American girl being forced out her desk by a white police officer really made me feel a certain way and I don't like the treatment that is given.

If the black population is higher than 50%, the school is most likely to have a police officer in the building.
I don't think I agree with this policy, I think schools should stop using it. It's not fair at all. You'r basically punishing students for the stupidest things. It creates more problems than fixing them. It's disturbing that this policy is actually being used at schools.

The school to prison pipeline has had a shocking effect on public schools. Specially when talking about student's of color. This is not something new this has been around since the 1900's. This was set to decrease suspensions. Although the outcomes back fired. Suspension rates doubled since 1970. My reaction to this video was shocking because it's like only students of color that get effected by this the most. Although, at the end of the video I liked how some states are trying their best to try to solve this issue. Students in Oklahoma talk their problems out to counselors.

My reaction to this video is a not so much of a big surprise. You give a negative punishment to a negative action and you receive and negative outcome. Suspension and expulsion should be a last resort to the student who is receiving an education because it is much more likely that the student will do bad things outside of school. Schools with police officers are more likely to get into trouble due to encounters compared to those who do not. Overall there are many things that determine the outcome of a situation better than intended to be.
