Currently, I live in Darien, Illinois, with a family of six. I have a father, mother, two young brothers, and one younger sister. My abuelo (grandfather) and abuela (grandmother) also live in the area. So do my tia (aunt), uncle, and younger cousin. I'm 15 years old, and attend Hinsdale South High School as a freshman. Check out Darien at https://www.city-data.com/city/Darien-Illinois.html. In my opinion, of living in Darien for many years, Darien is mostly a "have" place to live. It is pretty safe, unlike other places in Illinois like some areas in Chicago. Most if not all of the homes here are average, and if not average, above average. There are of course some that are smaller than usual but only some. The education here is good, but just like a lot of places, it's more based on the students' willingness to learn. The graduation rate at Hinsdale South is 86%, which is right under the average graduation rate of 87.3%. We can address these slight issues by paying more attention to our education and working harder for a better school experience.

In society, power is the ability to overcome someone's free will of speech, action, or any other given right. Around me, my parents have power because they make the money for the house. Also, my teachers have power because they are basically my parents when I'm in school. And, of course, the government has power because they, basically, dictate what I do in society. If you want to change the world, it is said you need power. This is because having power allows you to change things in society without question. If you try to do that without power, there's no reason for people to listen to you because what are you going to do to punish them. You have no power. The link between education and skills and power is that education and skills can obtain your desired power. Whether it's school, for example college, as education or, for example, being an amazing basketball player, as a skill, power can be acquired in these ways. Steps I could take to increase my power as I grow into adulthood are staying up to date with what gets other people their power in the world. For, if I "follow" them, I will be granted the same power. Then, when I do better than them, I will be even more powerful.

The agents of socialization are family, schools, peers, mass media, and religion. These are important to us humans because they are how most if not all people operate. They impact what I believe because that's how everyone grows up, around those things. They craft and mold who you were in the past, are today, and quite possibly who you are for the rest of your life. People in the area I live in are mostly Christian, primarily Catholic. Non-Christian faiths and unaffiliated "religions" make up 29% of the residents of Chicago. On another topic, our community here in Darien is pretty liberal. I don't really have a political standpoint, but I heavily believe in God. It is important to engage with people who have different beliefs and values than you because you can share your different viewpoints on subjects that maybe you or the other people are uneducated on. Revolutions and conflicts are an important topic. They can make or break societies. But in the long run, most if not all are seen as successful. Revolutions can craft all these beliefs in fact, like the agents of socialization.

On a daily basis, I interact with my phone, airpods, and computer. A positive effect of using technology is interaction with other people. In scientific research, it was said that socializing with other people are you, including through devices, makes you overall happier. However, a negative effect of using technology is addiction. Addiction is a negative effect because this means you can't function correctly without it. If someone feels dependent on their devices, when they don't have them, they have a breakdown. Technology has a huge impact on my generation because nowadays, a large amount of people really care about their image online. They really care about what people think about them and how they see them. Big technology companies are a huge part of my life because they provide me with almost all the information I see on my devices. All the ads, apps, and everything is given to me by them. Although they sometimes invade everyone's privacy, the pros outweigh the cons. Technology could potentially shape my/the future world because of how impactful it is to society. Nowadays, jobs will look at your online social media history before hiring you to make sure you didn't say anything or do anything naughty. The ways in which technology shapes my world and brings me into the global system is by incorporating real world problems in what I see in my everyday life. They'll put ads or things in front of me (on my phone) of events or hot topics happening all around me in society and the real world.

In my life, elements of culture that are most impactful on my life are family, nationality, generation, religion, and education. This is because these all are the most important and greatest parts of my life. Aspects of my culture that I enjoy is my religion. I heavily believe in God and believe He is the correct pathmaker for everything. I honestly don't know what aspects I would change about my culture. I'm still learning so much about it. Check out The Holy Bible at https: //www.christianity.com/wiki/bible/why-should-i-believe-the-bible.html. My generation is culturally different from previous generations because a lot of people in my generation have created their own groups that they stand by. They create ideologies and they can even live by them, shaping their entire livelihood.
