The subject of this article is an in-depth review of the differences between Australia's political climate in relation to our current refugee policy in comparison to that of the 1970-80s. It is a great source that would prove useful to create the building blocks of understandings while using primary sources of politician's statements on the topic including the media release by Alex Hawke, and visual aids. She made an article about the Afghan refugee’s case emerging, comparing in 4 points this present case with the post-Vietnam War with Saigon 46 years ago. Stevens takes a strong position against the US, declaring “The US humiliated” and explains that the Australian refugee policies are different from the past, including visas and the security of the Australian citizens.
