This video is very interesting but also heartbreaking. In this video a women interviews two 6 year old's, one of which has ADHD. She asked questions about things such as school and friends. The child with ADHD has very negative answers and feels very unhappy about life. One question asked was "do you have friends" and the child without ADHD has a big smiles and answers yes. The child with ADHD lowers her eyes and softly answers no. This is a must must watch to truly understand the struggles these kids have.

This video is about how to do a quick at home test to know if your child has ADHD. It first starts by covering the definition of ADHD and the negative affect it has on children. Then it gets into how to perform an assessment on a child. It covers common misconceptions parents have when noticing symptoms in their child. He also discusses in some cases parents punish their kids for being "naughty" when showing symptoms. It is frustrating for people to see parents act like that.

This video is interesting and is great for parents when they start to notice symptoms. It explains that ADHD and ADD are usually affecting children from birth. The pediatrician in the video explains that instead of X Rays and blood test the only way to diagnose ADHD and ADD is to look at history. Ask teachers, parents, aunts, uncles, bus driver, etc. Anyone who is around the child enough to report signs or explain who the child acts. The doctor then explains different ways to treat the condition after diagnosis.

This video is short but can be very helpful for parents with toddlers. I chose this one because it actually shows very short skits of actions children suffering ADHD can exhibit. It is posted by Bozeman Health Pediatrics which is a pediatric group that deals with ADHD in children very often. I think it is a great spot to start for parents who are getting a slight an idea that their children may suffer ADHD. It also explains ADHD and what it means.

This video is a perfect first hand example of how hard it is for children when they are off medication compared to when they are on medication. The first segment of the video is the little girl without medication constantly moving, avoiding eye contact, forgetting how she was acting earlier, and she even says that a lot is going on in her brain. Then it jumps to her being filmed with medication. The little girl even admits that it is working a lot and she is much happier in general. This is filmed by her mother and she is constantly asking questions about how her brain feels. Very helpful and informational video.

ADHD is a very personal topic for me for multiple reasons. The first reason being that I actually am diagnosed ADHD and take Adderall every morning. For me I was just diagnosed around Christmas time during this school year, my parents and doctor believe that I have had it my whole life but no one really caught on to the symptoms. I saw an immediate difference and improvement in not only school but my approach on every day and life. Also, both of my older sisters are diagnosed with ADD and take medications for it as well.

I chose this topic because it is relatable to me and I know how hard it can be. I wanted to learn more about this topic and how it affects kids at a young age. I learned a TON of very interesting information such as how to spot it, how to treat it, what it is exactly, and first hand videos of kids suffering from it. The videos of parents filming their children are the most interesting and useful resource for understanding ADHD affects. I am definitely going to keep interested in this topic and hope to spread the information I learned.
