         <title>Active to Passive</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>You can easily rewrite an active sentence to a passive sentence. The object in the active sentence becomes a subject in the passive sentence.&nbsp;</li><li>The verb is changed to a “be” verb + past participle. The subject of the active sentence follows by or is omitted.&nbsp;</li></ul><blockquote>Example: Rosita wrote a litter to Carlos (Active)</blockquote><blockquote>A letter was written to Carlos by Rosita (Passive)</blockquote>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><ul><li><b>Passive voice</b> is used when the focus is on the action, not the subject. It is not important or not known who does the action.</li></ul><blockquote>Example: The computer has been broken. (The focus is on the computer being broken. It is not important to know who broke it.)</blockquote><ul><li>Passive voice should be avoided when you want more clarity in writing. However, in some cases, you need to use passive voice to stress the action, not the actor. Also, passive voice can be considered more polite, as it sounds less aggressive or dramatic.</li></ul></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This conditional expresses a situation in the past that did not happen, so when we use this conditional we are actually imagining a different past that cannot be changed. This unreal situation can never happen, not now or ever.</p><p>1. Express disappointment or regret about things that are not possible to happen now.</p><ul><li>If you had taken up teaching, you would have been better off.</li></ul><p>2. Talk about things that should have happened in the past but didn’t.</p><ul><li>If he had gone to the doctor earlier, he wouldn’t have got this disability.</li></ul><p>3. Imagine unrealistic situations.</p><ul><li>If I had been a businessman, I wouldn’t have led a struggling life.</li></ul><p>4.
