I was hungry so I decided to head to Waikiki. Waikiki is the center of attention for dining, shopping, nightlife and their amazing views of the beaches and mountains. I will never be able to forget the smell of the salt in the air and the people dancing in the streets as if everyday was a party. It was incredible. My next step was around 6 pm. It had gotten close to dark and was time to head to the Maui for the annual Hula Kahiko dance circle! When I arrived it was like a spectacular dream. There were people dancing and singing and flowers everywhere. The air smelt no longer of salt but of peace and a sense of love. Being there, getting to experience the culture and meet new people was incredible. After that, It was roughly 8 pm so I decided to head to the beach for a night swim with my new friends. They showed me the ways of the water and how to swim with ease. I loved getting to experience this with my family and friends. I soon realized it was getting late and was tired so I headed to the resort. The Kahala Hotel and resort was beautiful. It was a beachfront resort with a Dolphin lagoon. There were beautiful palm trees everywhere and the smell of blooming flowers streaming through the warm air. The Buttery Mochi is a cake like dessert that is made with butter cream, butter, flower, cinnamon and milk. You can add many other seasonings and spices to it if you'd like but the original is made mostly of butter and cinnamon. It tastes like heaven on a plate. It was full of loud music, dancing, singing and fun! I have always had a love and passion for music so this was perfect for me! It is a live show where you are allowed to get up and dance freely as you please and move to the music in all kinds of different ways. From up above, everything seems and feels so small. You have the ability to see things from a different angle. Being so high in the sky makes you feel like you're flying and nothing else matters. No one can go to Hawaii without one. When I asked for my drink, I was expecting something way less than what they gave me. They gave me a whole pineapple with little umbrellas, cherries and cool spiral straws! That Virgin Pina Colada was the best thing I have ever drank. It was full of many different flavors. It wasn't just like any other, it was kinda spicy, sweet and a bit salty!
