The Spanish Civil War began on July 17, 1936. It was a conflict that lasted for nearly three years, until April 1, 1939. The war was fought between the Nationalist forces, led by General Francisco Franco, and the Republican government, which consisted of various leftist and Republican factions. The war had a profound impact on Spain, leading to significant political, social, and economic changes in the country.

Causes :

Spain had significant social and economic disparities, with a large rural population facing poverty, landlessness, and exploitation. Urban workers also faced difficult living and working conditions. These inequalities fueled social unrest and discontent.

Impact :

The Spanish Civil War resulted in significant loss of life, with estimates suggesting up to 500,000 people were killed. It also led to the establishment of a dictatorship under General Francisco Franco, which lasted until his death in 1975. The war had an impact on the international community, with many countries taking sides based on their political ideologies. It also served as a precursor to World War II, with tactics and strategies used in the Spanish conflict being replicated on a larger scale during the global conflict that followed.

The Brazilian Silver War, also known as the Revolta da Armada (Revolt of the Navy), started on 6 September 1893 and ended on 27 February 1894.

Dissatisfaction with the central government: The state of São Paulo felt marginalized and unfairly treated by the central government in Rio de Janeiro. São Paulo, being the most economically developed state, wanted more autonomy and a greater say in national policies.

The Brazilian War of Independence was a significant conflict in the nation's history, resulting in its separation from Portugal and the establishment of an independent Brazilian state. This war, however, was primarily a struggle for independence and does not fit the traditional definition of a civil war, wherein factions within the country are pitted against each other in a large-scale armed conflict.Brazil has faced instances of localized violence and unrest, such as rural conflicts and social uprisings, but these have not escalated to the level of a widespread civil war. While Brazil has dealt with internal conflicts and social upheaval, the country has not experienced a large-scale, nationwide civil war akin to those seen in other parts of the world.

The conflict over the Chaco Boreal region, which was thought to be rich in resources like oil, was the primary reason of the Chaco War. Bolivia and Paraguay both made claims to the land and made efforts to assert their dominance over it. Nationalist feelings and old grudges on both sides also contributed to the conflict.Unforgiving circumstances, such as intense heat, parched terrain, and disease-carrying insects, defined the war. Both sides launched offensives and counteroffensives to seize control of key locations in the Chaco region, resulting in heavy military activities. Trench combat, akin to that of World War I, characterized the conflict, with significant deaths on both sides. All things considered, the Chaco War was a terrible struggle with significant ramifications for Bolivia and

The Leticia War, often called the Colombia-Peru War, was a brief but important military confrontation that broke out between Peru and Colombia in 1932. A territorial dispute between the two countries over the town of Leticia in the Amazon led to the fighting. When Peruvian officials demanded that Colombian forces leave the region, Colombian authorities in Leticia flew the national flag, sparking the start of the conflict. Armed conflict broke out between the two countries in the area as a result.Although the length and breadth of the conflict between Peru and Colombia were relatively limited, it had a huge impact on both countries. Even though it was a particular territorial issue, the early 20th century geopolitical tensions in the area were mirrored in it.
