An Ideal Husband is an 1895 stage play by Oscar Wilde.

I think that the main message of this play is blackmail and that is you do something wrong it will come back to bite you later. We need to learn more about each other in order to live in harmony, accept our loved ones as they are, and help them when it necessary. We should protect our true friends, who may be the only salvation in life's troubles.

My favourite character is Lord Goring. His appearance is very deceptive. On the surface, he is a carefree friend, a lover of bachelor parties and other amusements, but in the end, he turned out to be the most interesting, honest and loyal companion. Frivolity is more external, indifference and promiscuity in conversations at social receptions, but in fact the hero causes only sympathy and respect. I really liked that this character changed throughout the entire work.

It was Written in 1891/ It is a tragedy. The play tells us a story about Salome, the stepdaughter of the tetrarch Herod Antipas, who , to her stepfather's dismay but to the delight of her mother Herodias, requests the head of Jokanaan.
This is a story from the Bible an it was forbided in many countries.
As for me, i like the hero Jokanaan, because he knew that he must die and he did not do again this and as a result he died.

The play was wrutten in 1895. It is full of sarcasm and farcicalcomedy. The main idea of the play is what it means to have a dual identity. This duality is most apparent in Algernon and Jack. Other characters also create alternate identities. For example, Cecily writes correspondence between herself and Ernest before she has ever met him. Unlike real men, who are free to come and go as they please, she is able to control this version of Ernest. Finally, the fact that Jack has been unwittingly leading a life of dual identities shows that our alter egos are not as far from our "real" identities as we would think.
My favourite character is Jack, who is a yound gentleman. Jack is the main character of the play. The fact that he has an alter ego called Ernest sets off a series of farcical events.

The play was presented to the public on February 14, 1895. In 1899, the play was published in print.
In my opinion, the main idea is that sooner or later the lie will be revealed.
The play has two main characters: John Worthing and Algernon Moncrief. My favourite character is John Worthing. He is a young, rich bachelor who lives in a country house. Jack Worthing is a seemingly responsible and respectable young man who leads a double life.He is in love with Gwendolen Fairfax, but deceives her.I like him because he is a funny and simple hero who is ready to be anyone for love.

The Importance of Being Earnest, by Oscar Wilde, is a three-act satirical play first performed on February 14, 1895. The play satirizes Victorian values. There are four main characters: Jack, Gwendolen, Algernon, and Cecily.
I really liked this play. The main idea, in my opinion, is that the presence of earnestness in someone is not a bad thing but the fact that people started holding each other to this standard as if it was the only way is what caused the trouble.
My favourite character in this play is Jack Worthing. He is a young, eligible bachelor about town. In the city he goes by the name Ernest, and in the country he is Jack — a local magistrate of the county with responsibilities. Jack is serious about most things, especially love. Though leading a double life, Jack eventually demonstrates his conformity to the Victorian moral and social standards.
Shorina Svetlana

A Woman of No Importance is a play by Irish playwright Oscar Wilde. The year of creation: A Woman of No Importance was first performed on 19 April 1893 at the Haymarket Theatre in London. The play was published in 1894.
The main idea of the play:
Oscar Wilde’s play A Woman of No Importance is a satire on English upper class morality and society’s double standards for women and men. It is both a comedy of manners and a protest against gender inequality. Favourite character:
There are several main characters in the play: some of the more prominent characters are Lord Illingworth, Mrs Arbuthnot, Gerald Arbuthnot and Mrs Allonby.
As for me, I sympathize with Gerald Arbuthnot. He is the illegitimate son of Mrs. Arbuthnot and Lord Illingworth. Gerald's young and rather inexperienced character. I admire him as he represents the desire to find a place in society, and gain high social standing no matter what. What's more, his naivety allows him to accept uncritically what society deems as proper. Finally, his belief in honour and duty, which seems to me as an important value, is what leads him to insist upon his parents' marriage.
Mityagina Evgeniya

It was written for the actress Mary Anderson in early 1883 while in Paris.

The main idea of this play is that love and death are inseparable.

My favorite character is Guindo Ferranti, because he is very passionate and loyal young man.
“An Ideal Husband” by Oscar Wilde

“An Ideal Husband” – is one of the most famous works of Oscar Wilde. In the summer of 1893, Oscar Wilde began writing An Ideal Husband, and he completed it later that winter. At this point in his career he was accustomed to success, and in writing An Ideal Husband he wanted to ensure himself public fame.
The work focuses on political blackmail and corruption, public morality and decency. I think that the author wanted to show us that not all politicians are honest and earn money not stealing them. Moreover, there’re some people who can blackmail others to have the benefits. But the main idea is to say that people who steal will be punished in some time as it says «What is done by night appears by day», but whose who want to backmail others also will be punished by other people as the boomerang.
One of my favorite characters in this novel is Sir Robert Chiltern. Sir Robert Chiltern is an under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs, a member of English society. He married to the honest and respectable Lady Chiltern. Early in his public career Chiltern sold state secrets to Baron Arnheim, from which he became quite rich. The past comes back to haunt him when Mrs. Cheveley arrives at his home and blackmails him with evidence of his wrongdoing. Chiltern, who is powerfully dependent on his ill-gotten wealth, struggles between succumbing to Mrs. Cheveley's blackmail and living and honest life. Fortunately, he is saved from disgrace through a variety of happenstance occurrences, and in fact discovers an even greater happiness in his marriage and government work than he had known before his status and professional career were threatened.
I think that he is my favorite one because the author showed him to us as a person who had a secret connected with a crime in his past. But when he met his enemy who wanted to tell everybody about his secret and blackmailed him, he became honest and regret that he had done something bad. After all what had happened he understood that it was very bad from his side and how he is lucky having his job and such a loving wife. In my opinion, it's very important when a person realizes his mistakes and wants to correct them.
