Frost heaving is when ice forms underground and causes big bumps in the ground like roads and soil. Aggravating these bumps can cause cracks or cause the ground to break

I think frost wedging is where water gets into a crack and it freezes and expands and when this is repeaded teh crack gets bigger and bigger.

Frost wedging is when the water in between rocks and cracks is frozen and expands. When the ice expands, it pushes the cracks apart and slowly breaks it over time. Frost heaving is when the water under ground freezes and expands and pushes up in the ground and causes weird bumps and formations and cracks in the foundations of different buildings.
