She’s called a tigress and a hound of hell twice on page 41, so I went with red for her hair. I thought it would be a good idea to give both Medea and the Nurse curly hair, while the Chorus would have straighter, neater hair, showing their different origins. I see it as relatively neat at the start, but not entirely perfect - she’s well kept, but still distressed. I went with a much darker shade for her than for the Nurse, so that it might appear black in certain lighting near the end, another show of her demise. I would keep the arms of the sweater a little long, perhaps covering half of her hand, to show some sense of dicomfort and lack of safety in Corinth, with Jason abandoning her.
I included a before and an after with the same dresses - however, in the after, she loses the jacket and shows a little more skin, particularly her shoulders, arms, and back, another way to show her dropping that innocent, tortured nature. In the after, Medea also no longer wears her wedding ring.
