Brainstorming is a great way to make group decisions in the workplace. The video points out that brainstorming is not designed to be everyone just sharing a preconceived idea that they had and that is the end of the process. Brainstorming is designed to be that one person shares an idea that sparks an idea for someone else and it keeps going like that until you get your desired result. It is a great way for me to compare our company to its competitors and see what opportunities and threats are out there determining the future moves of the company.

Forecasting is a planning tool used to see what will happen to affect the company. Something that I use is sales forecasting. I feel that being more knowledgeable about forecasting will help me to do it more effectively. I have to figure out what the market and customer will be like in order to anticipate the time period and the sales outcome. I must also set goals according to the forecast and then achieve these goals. Using our time wisely at work is very important and helps us to accomplish all necessary tasks. If things are not planned out or planned ineffectively it can result in disaster. I spend the first five minutes of every day planning out my daily tasks. If i have a large project that i have to plan for I will be using the Gannt chart.
